Page 111 of Fighting for Her Heart
“You two are finally fucking?” Ryker squeezes my ass.
“Making love,” Zuben says. “Yes, we are. But also, Ember is now able to walk in the sunlight.”
Ryker leans in close to my ear. “Well, that opens up lots of fun new opportunities for us to fuck you senseless.”
Chapter Thirty-Four
Ember
The church isempty when we reach the top of the stairs, and once we’re outside it doesn’t take long for Ryker to talk Zuben out of going straight to DEFTA, arguing that we should wait until nightfall.
Zuben argues briefly with this plan, pointing out that to tell our story we’ll have to explain to someone that we can walk in the light. But I don’t want to face reporting what happened yet either, and those witches will be fine in that cage for a day.
All it takes is me brushing up against Zuben for him to agree that we can wait until sunset to report what’s happened.
Ryker leads us to his condo off Rittenhouse Square.
A doorman opens the door of the building, and Ryker slings his arm over my shoulder as we walk toward the desk clerk of the hotel. I’m exhausted and shaky, not certain I’ve fully absorbed all that’s happened, but I do know that every cell in my body is craving my men, their love, their bodies, their blood.
Sex, absorbing the men’s love, will help wash everything else from my mind for a while.
Seeing us, the desk clerk’s eyes widen.
“Shit,” Ryker mutters. “Daytime staff. Don’t know them as well.” His body tenses beside mine, his fingers tight on my shoulder.
“Hey there beautiful,” Ryker says as we reach the desk, his voice betraying none of the tension I feel inside him. “Ryker Stone. Seems I’ve lost my keycard. Can you hook me up?”
The clerk taps quickly on her keyboard, and then looks up. “Certainly. Your identification please, Mr. Stone?”
“This old mug is all the ID I’ve got on me.” Ryker grins at the woman who does not look amused.
“Without proper identification, sir…”
A wooden door behind her opens and a man strides out. “Mr. Stone.” Nodding, he smiles at Ryker. “We don’t often see you at this time of day.”
“Yeah,” Ryker says. “My friends and I are just back from a little adventure.”
“I can see that.” The man blinks, clearly trying not to judge our disheveled appearances. “Elly, please make Mr. Stone a key card, and copies for his guests if he wishes.”
“One key’s fine for now.” Ryker’s hand slides down my back to trace over my butt and hip. “We’re in a bit of a hurry.”
His hand slides around me to rest possessively, low on my belly. Heat from his hand penetrates my body, and my sex throbs with need.
“When I saw you enter the building,” the manager says. “I alerted housekeeping to restock your bar. Please, let us know if you need anything else and we’ll send it right up. Perhaps something to eat?”
“I’ve got all I need right here.” Ryker’s fingers slide between my legs and stroke, and it’s all I can do to hide my reaction from the hotel staff on the other side of the counter.
Behind us, Axe growls low in his throat, clearly seeing what Ryker is doing to me.
The moment we’re in the elevator, Ryker lifts me and presses me back against the wall, kissing me with so much fervor I wonder if he’ll swallow me whole. He turns us, and my back presses against Axe, much better than the elevator wall, but just as solid, and his low growl rumbles through me. Zuben gently strokes my arm and then nudges my lips away from Ryker’s toward his.
Zuben’s kiss is gentler, but just as passionate, and I soon feel like I’m floating, my body supported on either side by Ryker and Axe. While I kiss Zuben, Axe and Ryker’s rods are grinding against me, one from the front and one from the back, and I imagine that they’re both inside me right now.
The elevator’s ping returns me to reality, and Ryker leaves me in Axe’s arms as we walk down the hall to his door.
“You really up for this?” Axe asks, his eyes full of concern.
“Aren’t you?” I reach down and find his hardness.
