"Yes!" Lin Mi didn’t even have to think before responding.

Quan Shaoqing left the room and walked to the rest area. Then, in the blink of an eye, he had disappeared from the spot.

When he reappeared, he was by Tang Yisheng’s side.

Tang Yisheng had just hung up the phone and jumped in fright at the sight of Quan Shaoqing.

He could hardly believe his eyes, "Superior officer! Is that really you? Aren’t you..." supposed to be at headquarters?

Very few knew about Quan Shaoqing’s abilities.

Tang Yisheng found it strange, but it wasn’t a big deal.

Before he could finish speaking, Quan Shaoqing grabbed his arm and asked, "Where did the accident happen?"

Tang Yisheng, still in shock, pulled out a map and excitedly pointed to a gorge between two mountains, "Right here!"

As he said this, Quan Shaoqing grabbed his shoulder, and the two of them disappeared from the camp.

It was exactly seven in the morning when Tang Yisheng called Quan Shaoqing.

And now, it was just two minutes past seven.

By the time Tang Yisheng came to his senses, he felt like he was dreaming as Quan Shaoqing had brought him to the valley where Gu Xiaoxi had the accident.

Tang Yisheng had no time to be astonished by Quan Shaoqing’s abilities and immediately pointed to a huge pit not far away, "Right here! They all fell down there. Team Leader Gu told me to lead everyone to safely evacuate."

Quan Shaoqing stood on the edge of the hole, looking down into the bottomless darkness.

He found a stone and dropped it in.

After a long while, there was no echo to be heard.

Quan Shaoqing furrowed his brow, his cold eyes squinted, and his expression was very grave.

"What do we do now?" Tang Yisheng asked anxiously.

Quan Shaoqing suddenly grabbed his arm, picked up a huge stone, and threw it into the hole.

Immediately afterward, he grabbed Tang Yisheng and actually jumped down as well.

Tang Yisheng got a fright and was about to scream when someone covered his mouth, his cry stuck in his throat.

Quan Shaoqing closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the wind caused by the falling stone, following it all the way down.

A moment later, he heard the sound of water, so he grabbed Tang Yisheng and they fell down together.

Without a flashlight, he shifted positions in the air a few times and quickly found a stone platform where they could land.

Tang Yisheng quickly pulled out a flashlight from his pocket and turned it on.

In the pitch-black view, there was finally a sliver of light.

Quan Shaoqing looked around and saw a lot of blood on the ground as well as the corpses of insects.

An idea immediately formed in his mind.

It appeared that Gu Xiaoxi had been here.

He turned to look at the blood-stained stone gate, examining the totems and writing on it.

Although he did not understand them, it wasn’t hard to guess that this was definitely an ancient tomb.

Throughout history, only ancient tombs were built underground!

"Superior officer! What is that?"

Suddenly, Tang Yisheng looked at the water not far away, where masses of insects were crawling toward them, and he screamed in alarm.

Without thinking, Quan Shaoqing grabbed Tang Yisheng, ready to pass through the gate to the passage on the other side.

However, when he opened the space gate, he found it was filled with loose stones and there was no space inside at all.

This caused him to bump his head on the stone gate.

It was truly embarrassing!

In such a perilous moment, Tang Yisheng held back laughter, not daring to make a sound!

Before them, swarms of insects were already surging at their feet.

Quan Shaoqing had no choice but to disappear with Tang Yisheng from the spot, looking for a space where they could land.

When they reappeared, it was in a pitch-black passage.

Quan Shaoqing didn’t know where they were!

Tang Yisheng immediately lit up his flashlight and looked around.

Soon, they discovered the wall paintings etched onto the walls.

The murals were exactly the same as those Gu Xiaoxi had seen before when she entered the passage.

If Gu Xiaoxi had been there, she would have surely noticed that this passage was identical to the one she had encountered before.

Quan Shaoqing and Tang Yisheng, gazing at the murals above, continued to walk forward.

Eventually, they arrived at a tomb chamber.

This tomb chamber was exactly like the one Gu Xiaoxi had visited before.

Six coffins, a thirty-square-meter chamber, all around were the marks of man-made excavation.

Quan Shaoqing observed his surroundings and didn’t notice anything particular, finally his gaze settled on the coffins.

Taking in the engravings on the coffin lids, Tang Yisheng couldn’t help but marvel, "This craftsmanship is simply breathtaking. The peony carvings are so lifelike."

"Now think about it, the key is how to get out!" Quan Shaoqing was certain he was still in this underground tomb chamber.

Just how extensive this underground tomb chamber was, he did not know.

Where on earth was Gu Xiaoxi?

"Just open the coffin and take a look!" said Tang Yisheng as he stepped forward briskly, stepping onto the stone platform, ready to push the lid open.

However, as soon as his foot touched the stone platform,

the cave started to shake violently.

Soil and rocks began to fall thunderously.

Startled, Tang Yisheng quickly grasped Quan Shaoqing’s sleeve.

They watched with their eyes wide open as the passage they had walked through collapsed, the cave-in advancing rapidly toward them.

Quan Shaoqing’s face changed color, and seizing Tang Yisheng’s arm, he immediately vanished from that space.

Moments later, Quan Shaoqing reappeared with Tang Yisheng in another passage.

However, the passage was exactly like the one they had just walked through.

"Strange, we just walked through this place!" Quan Shaoqing frowned.

Tang Yisheng immediately explained, "It’s very possible that there are many similar passages here."

Quan Shaoqing, leading Tang Yisheng, arrived at the thirty-square-meter tomb chamber once more.

This time, both of them were clearly much more cautious.

After pondering for a moment, Quan Shaoqing said, "If we want to get out, we must find the door to this tomb chamber."

"How so?" Tang Yisheng looked around, "We’ve already checked these walls before, they are solid. There’s clearly no door."

Quan Shaoqing touched his head, which had been hurt from a bump earlier, tilted his head thinking for a moment, then looked towards the coffins not far away. "Step aside a little, I’m going to open this one and have a look."

Immediately, Tang Yisheng cautioned Quan Shaoqing, "Don’t touch the stone platform below."

"I know!" Quan Shaoqing grasped the coffin lid and forcefully pushed.

The coffin lid opened easily.

Inside was just a corpse, without any special mechanisms.

Quickly, Quan Shaoqing opened all six coffin lids.

Still, he found nothing unusual!

Quan Shaoqing fell into deep thought; this place was truly mysterious, with not a single mechanism to be found. The absence of such mechanisms made him all the more convinced that there was a way out.

After hearing Quan Shaoqing’s comments, Tang Yisheng closed the coffin lids.

Quan Shaoqing crossed his arms, his fingers rubbing together intermittently.

Suddenly, he lifted his head to look at the four corners of the room, his eyes growing colder by the second.
