She held the doorknob, her gaze fixed on him, like a wounded little beast.

After a moment, she took the milk, turned around with a “bang,” and closed the door.

Quan Shaoqing stood at the door, her behavior leaving him baffled.

Was she still angry?

Angry with him?

He went back to his room and had just finished showering and getting dressed when he saw Gu Xiaoxi, clutching a pillow, standing at his door.

“I’m scared!”
