“Hardly. I told him he’d get a bonus if he let me in to see you.”

“I’ll make sure it happens,” Flynn assured me.

“He didn’t want to let me in. He’s doing his job well.”

“I put the fear of God in them,” Flynn said with a rueful grin. “I didn’t want anyone or anything to interrupt this business deal going through.”

“I could’ve interrupted it,” I pointed out.

“I didn’t have to let you in the club.” He winked. “I could’ve sent a message through Billy to tell you to go to the penthouse and wait for me.”

“Hmm, a wife put in her place…”

“Your place is by my side, you know that.”

His words warmed me from the inside out.

Flynn pushed the private elevator button that would take us to the penthouse. The carriage arrived and he stuck his keycard into it. As we began our ascent, he pushed me against the wall. Flynn clasped my wrists and threw them over my head and ground his body against mine.

Desire curled in my belly and swirled down to my toes.

“You played a dangerous game, Barrett,” he growled, his brogue thickening, along with something else. “Walking into the club, dressed the way you are, knowing I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything else.”

“It’s a good thing you wrapped up your business then,” I said, nipping at his chin.

“It’s a good thing they love prostitutes. Now I get to spend my night with you.”

He took my offered lips in a voracious kiss, his tongue thrust into my mouth. His free hand roved underneath my skirt and then delved into my tight nylons before slipping all the way into my panties.

Flynn found me wet and wanting.

“God damn, Barrett. How is it you’re always ready for me?”

I gasped as he planted a finger inside me. I quivered, needing more of him, needing to feel his naked skin against mine, needing him to fill me up, so I couldn’t think about anything else.

I was on the verge of coming just from his touch. The elevator doors opened, and he removed his fingers from inside me. We stumbled into the penthouse, tearing at each other’s clothes like rabid animals. We didn’t even make it to the bedroom. We hit the floor and then he was inside me and my back bowed from pleasure and domination. I loved everything about this man, including his ability to make my brain short circuit with sensuality. Sparks of desire shot along my nerves.

I knew he wouldn’t be completely satisfied until he had wrung every drop of pleasure from my body. The thought made me want to sob his name and rake his back with my nails.

So, I did.

He rammed and pillaged, he took and he gave. He was familiar but each time felt new.

I clenched around him, taking him so deep.

When Flynn came, he came with a roar.

He gathered me to him and collapsed against me, settling his face in the crook of my neck.

“You’re crushing me,” I whispered, smiling.

He slid out of me and rolled off.

I gulped air and tried to get my galloping heart under control.

Flynn lay on his back, and he looked over at me. “You should surprise me more often.”

I let out a husky laugh. “Yes, I should.”
