My phone dinged indicatingI had a message. A warm, fluttery sensation started in my chest when I noticed who sent it.

Dean: Hey babe. You still up?

Me: I am.

I’d been about to head to bed.

Dean: Is Stella over tonight?

Me: No, why?

Dean: I thought we could Facetime.

My fingers were poised to respond when my phone rang. Dean didn’t wait for me to respond before calling. I’d missed him the last few days and looked forward to him coming home soon.

I tapped the button to answer his call. “Hi.”

My eyes grew increasingly wider.Fuck me.

Dean was on my screen laying on his hotel bed. Naked.

“Hey,” He flashed me a sexy smile that already had my core clenching.

“You’re naked.”

“And you’re wearing too many clothes. I’ve missed you, Ash.”

“Dean—” My eyes darted around my bedroom. I closed the curtains and turned on my desk lamp, keeping the room in partial darkness. The glow of the light barely illuminated the seat I dropped myself into.

“What gorgeous?” He chuckled lightly, and I felt myself get instantly wet. “Think you might be ready to talk dirty to me over the phone.”

I bit my bottom lip. Hard.

“I’ve never done this before. What if I’m awful?”

Normally, we couldn’t get enough of each other. I had no hesitations in the bedroom. Here with him watching me, I felt exposed.

He sat up, bringing the phone closer to his face. His brown eyes softened. “We don’t have to do this.”

“I know.” Still I hesitated. Worry clawed at my brain—my insecurities at the forefront of my mind. What if I was so awkward he wasn’t turned on?

“It’s okay, Babe.” The screen shook as he slid off the bed. It tilted toward the ground, showing him rummaging through a pile of discarded clothes. He tried to hold the phone while slipping on a t-shirt he grabbed.
