Story: Ember Dragon
The Duchy of Bosk, Stravburg.
A door suddenly appeared in the corner of the city wall, but ordinary people could not see it with their eyes.
This is the "Trafa Lano's Magnificent Mansion" spell, an exquisite 7th-level spell. This door leads to a luxurious mansion in an extra-dimensional space and will exist for the duration of the spell.
Organizers of the Arcane Hermetic Society in different regions, as long as they have the authorization of this legendary mage, can obtain the "Ring of the Sage" and regularly cast this spell to organize the Arcane Hermetic Society.
"So this is the place..."
Soon, a man wearing a robe and a medal on his chest appeared here. As the medal's magical light flickered slightly, he directly entered through the door that didn't exist, disappearing without a trace.
Subsequently, more people entered one after another. There were men and women, most wearing luxurious robes, their bodies shimmering with magical light, indicating their identity—spellcasters.
And on the luxurious red carpet inside the door, a construct that looks like a human female but moves very mechanically is asking questions one by one, making records:
"Please choose a name as your code name within the Arcane Hermetic Society."
A tall noblewoman thought for a moment and then said, "Hmm... just call me 'Tulip'."
"Welcome to the Arcane Hermetic Society, Lady Tulip."
"Seeker."
"Welcome to the Arcane Hermetic Society, Lord Seeker."
"Grey Hair."
"Blue Eyes."
"Song of the Elves."
.........
In just a short time, more than thirty people had gathered here. Most were human nobles, but there were also pointy-eared elves or half-elves, and even some with elemental bloodlines.
"Anzeta actually has so many spellcasters?"
"It's really unbelievable."
"As expected of a legendary mage, this Magnificent Mansion is like a work of art..."
"Incredible."
"Then where is the organizer of this Arcane Hermetic Society gathering?"
"Not sure, I also..."
.........
"This should be the place."
A Dimension Door appeared by the city wall. Cassius and Langpu, disguised as an Iron Golem, entered one after the other.
As soon as Cassius entered, his handsome face with black hair and golden eyes, and his whole body's extraordinary charm attracted the attention of many people, especially women.
The noblewoman codenamed "Tulip" couldn't help but say to her companion beside her:
"This is really a charming fellow. Perhaps only someone like him is worthy of me, not those useless fools."
"Moreover... this is an even nobler bloodline."
"Very pleased to meet you."
She took the initiative to approach and converse, lifting her skirt in a curtsey. Cassius responded politely with a smile.
"Good day, beautiful lady."
A mage behind couldn't help but mutter:
"Another one of those sorcerers, those who can charm the Weave with their extraordinary charisma—the barbarians among spellcasters."
"Yes, they will never understand spells, will never grasp how the Weave operates."
"They only distort and toy with it like children."
Some people were also curious about Langpu behind Cassius.
"What is the follower behind him?"
"It should be... an Iron Golem."
"An Iron Golem?"
"I've heard that the imperial palace of the southern Fadlan Empire has these things. They are meticulously crafted from heavy metals, welded with a rare tincture and mixture, indestructible."
"A golem of this size must be quite expensive."
"Tsk tsk, really enviable fellow."
Listening to others' gossip, "Tulip" was somewhat displeased. She deliberately said, "I believe with your status, you won't mind these words of envy."
Cassius just smiled and said, "Getting used to others' envy is a compulsory lesson for every gifted individual."
"Don't you agree, Miss 'Tulip'?"
He could easily see that this noblewoman was also a sorcerer, but her strength was low, only level 2 as shown on the panel, probably only knowing some simple cantrips.
"Of course."
The noblewoman smiled sweetly, obviously quite pleased.
However, perhaps due to Anzeta being a remote and impoverished northern area with a sparse population, Cassius looked around and hadn't found any high-level professionals. Most were noble scions who knew a bit of magic.
The strongest among them was a man codenamed "Black Eagle," whose mage class level shown on the panel was only level 8, roughly equivalent to the current Langpu.
"You haven't registered a codename yet, I'll take you over."
"Alright, thank you."
The noblewoman led Cassius to the front of the hall.
The construct resembling a human still routinely asked: "Please choose a name as your codename within the Arcane Hermetic Society."
Cassius pondered for a moment.
"Let's go with 'Ember'."
"Lord Ember, welcome to the Arcane Hermetic Society." The construct's voice was icy.
It is said to be a little toy made by Trafa Lano in his youth, named "Steel Maiden" because of its human female appearance and stiff, mechanical movements.
Originally, it had room for improvement, but this legendary archmage had gotten used to it, so he finalized the design.
Although it was a casual creation, it also has devices capable of releasing 4th-level spells, making it quite a rare item.
In the spacious and luxuriously decorated hall was a huge round table, around which the attendees sat.
Above was a beautiful dome, on which numerous great arcane miracles were recorded in the form of murals, making everyone click their tongues in admiration.
"Since everyone is here..."
"Then let's begin the gathering."
"I am the organizer of this Arcane Hermetic Society gathering, you can call me ' Starlight'."
A clear and beautiful voice came.
Everyone looked toward the voice—it was a young woman who looked to be in her twenties.
Her slim long dress outlined graceful body lines, and the surface of her robe was embroidered with shimmering fine scales, as if surrounded by stardust.
Her silver-white long hair draped over her shoulders, under long slightly curled eyelashes were a pair of clear and bright blue-gray eyes, eyes full of kindness yet faintly exuding a trace of arrogance.
While everyone was admiring her appearance, Cassius fell into thought.
"It's actually her..."
"'Silver Star' Olivia, a young silver dragon mage. I didn't expect her to be one of the organizers of the Arcane Hermetic Society."
She is a famous figure; the silver dragon clan she belongs to, "Melwood," is an important force in Anzeta's fight against the demon scourge in later generations.
It is said that among them is a silver dragon elder who has reached the ancient dragon stage, but has been in deep sleep for many years, indifferent to worldly affairs.
【Silver Star - Olivia (Human Form)】
Class Level: 11 Mage
"An 11th-level mage..."
This level doesn't seem high, but it's already a kingdom-level master, able to cast 6th-level spells. For most players, their upper limit is around here.
And in a magic desert like Anzeta, which is remote and desolate, an 11th-level mage can even be respectfully called an "Archmage."
