Story: Ember Dragon
Iron Frenzy was in the middle of enjoying the fight when suddenly a stern shout came from behind.
"Holy Slash!"
A dazzling light descended from the sky, the sound of metal clashing rang out, and in the next moment, the right arm of the armor fell to the ground.
Iron Frenzy first looked incredulous, and then immensely distressed: "My Guardian Armor—"
He turned the armor around, only to see a golden-haired, blue-eyed paladin standing with a sword.
It was André Bosk.
"You bastard, pay me for a complete armor!"
Iron Frenzy was furious at the person who damaged his armor and rushed forward, swinging his left fist, flames erupting from the arm.
"Taste my Thunder Punch!"
However, the paladin was surrounded by a swift aura, easily dodging the charged attack and then swinging his sword again.
"Holy Slash!"
Another blinding light flashed.
With a clanging sound, the left arm of the Guardian Armor was also severed.
"How can this be?"
Iron Frenzy muttered to himself, tears welling up with no place to fall.
This was the armor he had spent his savings on, even embezzling public funds to create, and it was so easily dismantled by this golden-haired paladin.
André looked firmly at the half-dragon inside the cockpit, speaking each word with conviction: "You wicked dragon spawn, your existence threatens the peace and order of the Northlands. Destroying you will be part of my heroic deeds!"
"Bang!"
Battlefield Wheelchair fired a shot, but André easily dodged it.
André pointed his long sword towards Battlefield Wheelchair from afar.
【Light Arrow】
A radiant beam shot toward the half-dragon's forehead, piercing through, leaving a small hole. Battlefield Wheelchair was killed instantly.
"Take this, Mountain Pressing Top!"
Iron Frenzy leaped over, attempting to crush the paladin under the heavy armor.
But André sidestepped, magic radiance shining brightly on his sword.
【Enchanted Weapon】
He stabbed his sword straight through the fortified cockpit, pinning Iron Frenzy dead inside his beloved armor.
André pulled out his blood-stained sword, his blazing eyes sweeping toward the other players.
"Whoa, there's a boss!"
"He's coming!"
"The guild master and vice-guild master were both one-shotted!"
"This paladin's pretty fierce, just cut down a Gundam."
Born Battle Maniac looked at the paladin slaughtering players in the distance and marveled: "This monster is pretty strong."
[Based on your power level, you can observe the following information.]
【André Bosk】
Base Ability: Glorious Paladin
Challenge Level: 6 (2100xp)
Born Battle Maniac grinned, his eyes brimming with battle spirit.
He looked at Summer Night Autumn Rain beside him: "Autumn Rain, this is a rare elite monster. Should we try to take it?"
Summer Night Autumn Rain nodded slightly but whispered, "Of course, but capture it alive."
Born Battle Maniac asked puzzledly, "Why not kill it? Are you interested in this elite monster?"
Summer Night Autumn Rain facepalmed, helplessly pointing at the information on the panel: "Look at his surname, Bosk. That's the most powerful family in Anzeta according to the official lore, the Northern Lion."
"If we kidnap him, we could extort who knows how much gold. Isn't that better than some measly experience points?"
Born Battle Maniac rubbed his bald head awkwardly and said, "You're right."
The war continued.
"Huff, huff, huff."
"Damn it."
André knelt on one knee, leaning on his sword, sweat dripping from his forehead. His body was covered in various wounds—burns, frostbite, even acid corrosion.
The players' attacks were strange and varied. Though he was protected by Guardian and Swift Auras, he still couldn't avoid them all.
It must be known that players were not like honorable knights. If they saw an opportunity to sneak attack, they would never hesitate.
These guys were different from any enemies he had ever faced.
Even when André killed their comrades, they still fearlessly rushed forward, shouting things like "I'm dealing damage," "Tank, come over," "Heal me"—all tactical terms he couldn’t understand.
Now, André was almost exhausted, his body pushed to the limit.
Corpses of players piled up beside him.
Over a hundred!
"Swish—"
The sound of an arrow slicing through the air rang out.
André sensed the arrow coming from behind and rolled to the left to dodge it, then used Light Arrow to kill the cowardly attacker.
But a barbarian on his flank threw a spear with great force. André instinctively swung his sword to deflect it.
Just as he raised his sword, a magical radiance came from behind.
【Human Paralysis Spell】
This time, he couldn't dodge in time and was paralyzed on the spot, unable to move.
The vice-guild master of the Royal Guild, Windcloud, shouted excitedly, "He's paralyzed! Everyone hold off, wait for our guild leader to come and claim the kill!"
"I'm coming!"
Overlord charged up with a greatsword, full of vigor.
However, a thick fog eerily enveloped the battlefield, shrouding the paralyzed André—that was Cloud Mist Spell.
Overlord fumbled in the fog, angrily shouting, "Who cast Cloud Mist?!"
In an instant, the members of the Royal Guild, solo players, and members of other guilds all swarmed into the mist, hoping to seize the chance amidst the chaos.
"Ouch, you hit the wrong person, I'm a player!"
"Is the boss still here?"
"Someone cast a Wind Spell!"
Amidst the chaos, a shadow slipped through the thick fog.
Windcloud raised his staff, casting a spell.
【Wind Spell】
A strong gust of wind rose, blowing the fog away.
But where the paladin should have been paralyzed, there was now nothing.
Seeing the prize slip away, Overlord's face turned red with rage, shouting, "We must drag that sneaky bastard out!"
Behind the hillside, Born Battle Maniac, empowered with Haste, knocked the golden-haired youth to the ground, then tied his hands and feet firmly with rope.
He rubbed his bald head, looking content.
"Haha, got him again."
Summer Night Autumn Rain couldn't help but remind him, "Don't celebrate too soon. The paralysis spell's effect is almost over."
Sure enough, André struggled to get up.
"Where am I—"
"Bang!"
Born Battle Maniac hit André on the head with a club, making him collapse.
He clapped his hands, satisfied as he looked at the golden-haired young man tied up like a dumpling. "All done. Much more reassuring this way."
As if still worried, Born Battle Maniac hit him a few more times on the head.
Summer Night Autumn Rain couldn't help but say, "Don't beat him to death."
Born Battle Maniac confidently said, "I've got plenty of experience knocking people out. Besides, this is a mini-boss with a paladin's divine physique. It's not that easy to kill."
"Tsk, tsk, this is going to make us rich."
He looked at the unconscious golden-haired youth, whose head was covered in bumps, as if seeing a pile of shiny gold coins.
The third direct son of the Bosk family, the Glorious Paladin full of promise, was thus humiliatingly kidnapped by players on the battlefield.
