Page 12 of Die for You (Diamond Devils #4)

Damien reaches between my legs, the musky scent of his shampoo filling my nose with his hair inches from my face.

The sight of his arm between my parted knees makes my stomach do cartwheels.

“What the hell are you doing?” I squeal.

For once, he stays silent like Finn, shoving my seat forward so I can actually reach the damn pedals.

When he settles back in his seat with a smirk, my heart is still pounding. No one should have this kind of effect on me just by being in close proximity, let alone these three.

But the air is buzzing with tension. I don’t know how the hell I’m going to concentrate on driving with the Devils watching my every move.

“First step: adjust your mirrors,” Knox instructs.

Begrudgingly, I follow their orders as they walk me through each step of adjusting my mirrors properly, locating the turn signal and windshield wipers, shifting from Park to Drive, and keeping my foot on the brake until I’m ready to move.

With all this new information thrown at me at once, I’d expect to be overwhelmed, but there’s something calming about their soothing voices talking me through every movement.

Good news: Dumping your asshole boyfriend means you can fuck whoever you want. Three of them at the same time, even.

Maybe they would talk me through that too.

I shake the thought away. Concentrating on driving will be impossible if I’m distracted by thoughts of what the Devils would do to me in the bedroom.

Hell, right here in this car.

Stop it.

“Faster.” Finn’s low, gentle command roots me back in reality.

I put a little more pressure on the gas, hands squeezing the steering wheel in a death grip, even though we’re in an empty parking lot.

“You gotta learn how to relax,” Knox soothes. “Loosen up your shoulders.”

I haven’t had a single driving instructor my whole life, and now I have three. “I’m hurdling around in five tons of metal. There is no relaxing.”

Damien rolls his eyes. “You’re not hurdling in anything. I just watched a worm pass us.”

I flash him my middle finger.

“Both hands on the wheel,” Knox reminds me.

“Tell Damien not to piss me off then.”

“Mmm. Say my name again,” Damien drawls.

“Oh my god.”

A low moan damn near makes my eyes pop out of my head. “ Slower ,” Finn groans.

My gaze snaps to the rearview mirror. His eyes are hooded, but that little taunting smirk and his hands tucked behind his head tell me he’s definitely not jerking off in the backseat like I suspected.

Against all my better judgment, I want to hear him make that sound again. Over and over.

Knox and Damien laugh their asses off, and I fight the smile that pulls at my lips, face on fire. “You’re all bastards.”

I turn the wheel to drive along the next row of empty parking spaces.

“You’re doing great, Rory.” Knox’s encouragement floods my chest with pride. “Keep going.”

Why does every word out of their mouths sound like a sexual innuendo now?

“You know when I can drive myself, I won’t need to accept rides from any of you, right? You’re not afraid that I won’t have any more use for you?”

“Not at all,” Damien growls without a second’s hesitation. “Just because you can take care of yourself doesn’t mean you’ll have no use for us.”

Knox grins. “We offer plenty of other benefits.”

“Such as?” Adrenaline zings through my veins, and it’s not from operating a five-ton vehicle this time.

“Orgasms,” Finn drawls.

“Anytime you want them,” Damien adds.

I roll my eyes even as my thighs clench. Orgasms from all three of them. Jesus . “My vibrator can handle that just fine.”

“Not like we can.” Knox leans forward, elbows on his knees as his voice drops to a seductive octave. “A toy’s not gonna hold you at night or drive you to class or carry you when your leg’s broken or fuck you while you’re tied down and begging for more.”

For once, I’m at a loss for words. No sardonic quip on the tip of my tongue.

Maybe because my mind is flooded with images of Damien carrying me into a hospital, demanding a doctor.

My head on Knox’s chest as he crushes me to him while he snores gently.

Finn’s hand resting high on my leg as he drives me to class in the morning.

Then images of all three Devils tying me down spread eagle with rope and fucking me while holding a vibrator to my clit.

I squeeze my thighs together, discreetly trying to relieve the pressure building there.

A small yellow sedan rolls into the parking lot, making my heart stop. I grip the steering wheel like a buoy in the middle of the ocean. “Shit! Oh my god, what do I do?”

“Calm the fuck down, first of all,” Damien snaps. “Then slowly turn into a parking spot. We’ll tell them to fuck off.”

Inch by inch, I pull into a spot. Or, at least, I attempt to. My tires straddle the white line.

“I think that was a new record,” Damien says. “Slowest park job in human history.”

“Fuck. Off.”

“Ignore him. You’re doing a great job, angel.” Knox smiles at me like he really means the praise.

When I hit the brake, we all jolt forward and I put the car in Park.

“All right, that was a little rough,” Knox concedes. “We’ll work on it.”

The driver in the yellow car has already parked and climbed out, heading toward us. A girl with brown hair that falls past her shoulders in waves struts toward us with a smug grin. Her long nails are eye-catching, dark liner making her eyes pop even from here.

My stomach twists into a knot. She obviously recognizes the car. She came here for a reason. A puck bunny the Devils must’ve invited here to meet them after practice.

Of course. They’ve probably been hooking up with puck bunnies every night since we met. It shouldn’t matter to me. They’re not my boyfriends, and they don’t owe me anything. I don’t even want a boyfriend.

So why does it feel like acid is burning up my throat?

“Shit,” Knox curses under his breath.

“What?” Damien turns to frown at his friend. “Who the hell is that?”

They don’t know her. Not a puck bunny then. An embarrassing gush of relief floods me.

For once, the happy-go-lucky smile is nowhere to be found on Knox’s face. “Monica.”
