Matteo snuggled his face into Luke’s hair and hummed happily. “Okay, but only because I want my boyfriend to be happy.”
The words were clearly meant to be playful, but Luke tensed at Matteo’s use of the word “boyfriend,” and Luke felt Matteo stiffen as well.
“Shit. Sorry. I always move too fast with that word.” Matteo tried to move away, but Luke grabbed his arm to keep him close.
“No! I?—”
“Crap! The condom!”
All their movement combined with Matteo’s softening cock was in danger of making a mess. Matteo carefully pulled free of Luke and removed the condom. While he tied it off and tossed it into the small black wastebasket, Luke got out of bed to pull down the blankets, and quickly discovered that he was now covered in cum-crusted black rose petals.Oh, my fucking God. He was going to strangle a demon or two.
When they were lying in the bed facing each other, the flirty Matteo suddenly seemed shy.
“I don’t mind being called your boyfriend, if it means I get to date you,” Luke ventured.
Matteo lit up instantly. “Really? You don’t think it’s too fast?”
“As long as you don’t think it’s a problem if I ask that we’re exclusive. I’m not good at dating multiple people at the same time.”
Matteo’s grin made Luke’s heart somersault in his chest. “You’re the only one I want. Exclusive is perfect with me.”
Luke leaned in and took Matteo’s lips in a slow, deep kiss, sealing the agreement. He had a boyfriend. A hot, sweet, funny boyfriend whose cock made his brain melt.
Chapter 23
Suddenly, Everything Goes Wrong
LUKE
Sex was the best.
Luke was pretty sure his goofy grin was permanently stuck on his mouth, and he didn’t give a rat’s ass.
After snuggling and kissing with Matteo for a while, he’d climbed onto his boyfriend’s fat cock and ridden him into oblivion a second time.
The bed was small, and it was a somewhat cramped fit, but he couldn’t help hoping that Matteo might stay the night. Unfortunately, he had an early meeting with a study group on Sunday, and it was easier to make the trek from his dorm. However, Matteo had promised to spend the night when they took their Thanksgiving break. Without classes, he’d be able to stay several nights in a row.
Of course, that might be tricky with the demons. He’d have to sit down with his roommates and have a long talk about it. He didn’t want to make their lives more difficult, even if they were big supporters of his new relationship with Matteo.
They both showered, though separately, because Luke’s legs were already trembling and his hole needed a break. It was almost one in the morning as they dressed and headed back out into the cold.
“I can’t believe you’re walking with me.” Matteo chuckled as Luke locked the door behind them. A bitterly cold wind swept along the block, wrapping around them.
Luke hissed and pulled his knit hat lower over his ears. He tugged on his gloves while descending the stairs. “There’s no way I was going to let you walk alone.”
“Well, you’re not walking me all the way to the dorm. That’s too far. Plus, you’ll have to return to the house. You’ll freeze!”
“It’ll be fine.”
Matteo grunted, and it sounded like he didn’t agree with Luke, but he was going to let it go.
“How about I just walk you to the edge of campus?” Luke suggested.
His new boyfriend hesitated for a moment before caving. “Okay.”
It wasn’t a dangerous neighborhood. The streets appeared empty at this hour. The frigid temperatures had chased everyone inside. They’d already walked two blocks and hadn’t passed a car on the street yet.
Despite the quietness of the night, Luke couldn’t shake the dark feeling that gnawed at him. Like a premonition that he couldn’t quite see. Something was going to happen, and it wasn’t good. He’d wanted to keep Matteo at his house, to tell him to skip the study group, but he couldn’t do that. Not without a good reason.
