Page 73 of Damian & Jun, Episodes 13-16
“Dammit,” Jaewoong groaned at Su-jin and Yohei. Yohei had his knee between Su-jin’s thighs and his wrists pinned above his head. “Now you both have ink on your faces. Wardrobe! We need wardrobe.”
Yohei pulled back, squeezing Su-jin’s wrists once before letting go and allowing the make-up artists to get to work. He looked at the rest, not really seeming to see anyone, until he made eye contact with Geun.
Geun nodded once and turned to change into his clothes.
Jun let out a breath. So—At least there wouldn’t be a fight.
Jaewoong shimmed into a new set of pants next to Jun. “What was that?”
Jun shook his head. “I don’t know. There’s something going on with the three of them.”
“Understatement of the year. Well, unless you adopt, you’re all uncles. I’ll have all the kids and you can put them through college.” He shot Jun a smirk and stepped away to let a wardrobe assistant snap him into his artfully ragged uniform for the next song. They were wearing old-fashioned western military couture for the next two songs, “Broken Soldier” and “Witness”.
Jun barely registered someone dressing him in his own uniform because Damian was approaching. “How’s it going?”
Damian grimaced and started fixing Jun’s hair. “Authorities are on it. Not yours to worry about right now. You have a concert and you’re killing it.”
Jun grinned. “Are we?”
“You know you are, wolfling.”
Jun preened. He kissed Damian quickly and hurried towards the stage, checking the other four over as he moved. “Ready?”
Geun swallowed, looking a little sick under his makeup. “Broken Soldier” was the first time Geun had ever been centered as lead vocalist on stage. Bak had never thought Geun had enough visual power or vocal smoothness to hold attention. He’d mostly used Geun for his height and muscles. But the rest of them disagreed. And “Broken Soldier” was the perfect debut for Geun’s uncertainty. Fuck Bak and his cruelty. Geun had everything he needed to carry the stage, especially when the other four of them had his back.
Jun slapped Geun on the shoulder. “You got this?”
Geun grimaced and looked at the others.
Su-jin shoulder bumped him. “Come on, make them hurt.”
“You all had to give me the sad one,” Geun braced himself for the lights to change in preparation for their re-entrance.
Yohei flung and arm around Geun. “You got this.”
“Time,” Jun said. They shut up and the lights shifted.
Damian
Damian frowned at the moving dot on his screen, still tracking Bak Sahyuk. He’s heading towards BBB3 headquarters.
Well, that could be good, or that could be bad.
His gut said bad. There were still kids in the dormitories there, and potentially other still active idols in BBB3’s other groups.
Damian dialed the police lieutenant. “I think he’s going to Bak Gyeong at BBB3.”
Now it was up to them.
It stuck in his throat not to send Ellisandre and some of the security team, but that was outside the bounds of his responsibility. Protecting anyone beyond the performance space was the job of the police.
Two songs later, Jun and the rest of 5N bounded off the stage, bright-eyed and dripping with sweat . “The audience is on fire tonight,” Jaewoong whooped. He dumped water over his face and shook himself.
“JaeJae, keep your shirt on,” Su-jin said.
“But all the ladies!” Jaewoong wiped his face with his undershirt, showing off his abs, and grinned. “Did you hear them calling my name?!”
“I can’t hear anything out there.” Su-jin fended Jaewoong off with a towel.
