Smoke filled the air as I lay back on the purple velvet couch.

Flex’s spot was straight.

I had been here for two days, and the vibe was cool.

Shorty ain’t give up no ass, but today that was about to change.

I placed the blunt to my lips as I watched her practice on her in-home pole.

She had the purple lights trailing around the living room, giving her crib a true vibe.

She held on to the pole tightly as she held herself up and somehow looked like she was slowly walking in the air.

She then turned sideways as she opened her legs wide, then closed them, clapping her stilettos together. The shit was crazy as fuck.

I sat up and scooted toward the edge of the couch as my eyes began devouring her as she did move after move.

Flex was fly, seductive, and sexy as hell.

“Come here,.

“I called out to her, but she ignored me.

I stood this time and walked over to her as I finished my blunt. She spun around the pole like a pro. Shorty was high as hell as her low eyes landed on me.

“I’m not fucking you,” she said.

“Why not?”

“Because it’s my fucking body and I said so,.

“she smiled.

I shrugged.

“I mean you let a nigga stay at the crib, I mean—”

“You mean what?.

“she said as she came off the pole and stood in front of me with her bra and boy shorts on.

“You’re taking my kindness for weakness.

I let you stay because I knew what you were feeling in that moment.

I know what it’s like to have that very same feeling, and the only difference between you and me is that I didn’t have anyone to offer me a night’s rest.

So, as I said before, I’m not fucking you.”

She went to walk off, I grabbed her arm, and she swung on me.

“Nigga! I told you not to put your fucking hands on me. I’m the wrong bitch, and before I let you touch me that way, I will kill you,.

“she snapped.

“Ayo chill. I was trying to talk to you, and you were walking away and shit.”

Flex tossed her hand on her hip.

“It’s time for you to go. It’s something about you that’s not right.”

I began to panic. I wasn’t trying to fuck up this little shit we had. I ran my hand over my head. “My bad.”

“No, you need to leave. I think two days is long enough.”

I sucked my teeth and walked back over to her couch.

“Let me call a ride,” I lied.

I wasn’t going no fucking where. I was going to give Flex some space and I knew after a few more blunts she would have cooled down. She walked to the back and slammed her bedroom door as I began to roll another blunt. I began scrolling through my phone, checking my social media, watching everyone live their lives while I was in hiding. My eyes began to get heavy because I was high as fuck. I slid the phone into my pocket, scooted down to get more comfortable and dozed off.

***

My eyes shot open to me being tossed across the room. “Ah!.

“I grumbled as the wind got knocked out of me.

I tried getting up, but a steel boot connected with my ribs, sending spit flying out of my mouth.

“I knew you looked familiar, fuck nigga!.

“a baritone voice barked at me.

When I finally caught a glimpse of who it was, I realized Flex had called some niggas to get me out of her crib. It was Beast from the club. I stumbled to try to catch my balance and rushed his ass. Sending his big back ass into her pole. We began tussling in Flex’s small ass living room. Hit to the face. Hit to the abs. Beast and I were rumbling in this muhfucka.

“Fuck nigga you thought I was some bitch. Trying to snuff me,.

“I gritted as I hit his ass again.

Beast gripped my neck and lifted me. I tried swinging but kept missing his face.

“I would handle you and snap your fucking neck, but I heard there’s a hit out on you. The call has been made..

“He smiled evilly.

My mind started racing because I knew I had to get out of his grasp before Pierre arrived. I became frantic as my feet and arms, dangling in the air, began flailing wildly.

“Fuck! Fuck you!.

“I shouted.

He continued to grin as my eyes began to bulge.

I knew death was knocking, and a nigga just couldn’t go out like this.

I took one last good swing, hitting Beast in the jaw, causing him to let go.

My body hit the floor, and I scrambled to the door running out like a madman.

I hauled ass down the street, letting the wind smack my face.

I needed to try my best to stay out of fucking dodge.

I didn’t want to surrender.

I didn’t want to meet my fate, but something in me told me that my time was running out and God was done giving me chances, so much so that he didn’t have anything left to give.
