Turn Your Back on Me

Bunny,

It’s so good to hear from you. I saw you the other day. The temptation to approach you was undeniable. However, I knew you wanted space.

Watching your perfectly coffee skin glow and the smile on your face told me you were happy. Congratulations on the job, but I would appreciate it if you wouldn't take on that article.

As much as I want to tell you things, I cannot. Best, please trust me when I say the life the Averys live is not for the paper.

If you have any love for me, you will do as I ask and back off. The things that are happening around me cannot be in the press.

The Cove’s secrets are bigger than just the Averys. My father always said you were the one to watch for, and I don’t want his words to be true.

Listen, I’m away for a while, but when I get back, maybe you and I can talk this out. Best, I beg that you let it be. Please don’t do this.

You said you would never turn your back on me, and if you do this, then you would be going back on your word. Of all people, you are the one I trust the most. We’re supposed to be friends, not enemies.

I cannot protect you from where I am. You can send your letter to this address. I’ll be awaiting your letter. As always, I miss you and I love you.

Sincerely,

Naheem
