“I checked the security footage from behind the place that Spin works, and the car lot behind them. I can see Spin having a smoke when a person in a hoodie walks up and sits beside her on the picnic table. You can see her panic when the table starts to tip, and she jumps up and walks around. You then see her start laughing and it’s like there was a brownout and we lost visual.

When the cameras came back on, she was gone,” Neo states, his fingers flying over the keyboard.

“Do you see her on any other cameras around the area?” Skoden asks, his leg bouncing as he twists his fingers amongst each other.

“No, that’s what is driving me nuts. It’s like she just disappears.

There are no other doors in that area, and there are no other places she could have gone in.

The street has relatively minimal traffic, but there are a few suspicious cars I am tracking.

As soon as I get anything, I will let you all know.

” Neo stands, grabs his computer and leaves the room.

“That kid is a fucking nerd. A smart fucking nerd that I am happy to have on my side, but he is still a nerd,” Sue states as a loud noise comes from the main area.

“Jessikah and Tina and the prospects are here with the groceries. I will send Jessikah in to you,” Brownie mumbles, standing as fast paced clicks of heels walk toward the room. There is a knock, and as Slick opens the door a panicked Jessikah stands there.

“I need to talk to you.” I nod as the guys stand. “No, I need to talk to all of you,” she insists. The guys sit down, and Jessikah steps in and allows Slick to close the door.

“What’s up, Superstar?” Skoden asks, watching as Jessikah comes toward me, drops a kiss on my forehead and then stands beside me.

“Okay, before you tell me that I am paranoid, I want you to listen. When Tina and I were following the club van back to… well here. I saw a car with what looked like Spin sitting in the backseat. She saw Tina and I and she mouthed something which looked like ‘help me’. Is Spin in trouble?” she asks, her hand on my shoulder and her legs crossed.

She is comfortable in front of my brothers.

“Do you happen to remember any information about the car?” Slick asks, pulling his phone from his back pocket. We all watch as he calls Neo.

“Hey, Nerd. Jessikah has some information you need. Listen and ask what you need too, yeah?” Neo grunts as the line goes dead.

“The car was a four door, black cherry with a glitter to it. No tint on the windows, but a gun graphic on the driver side of the car. I’m sorry, Neo, I didn’t see a license plate,” Jessikah states, taking a deep breath.

“Thank you, ma’am,” Neo mutters.

“I told you, Neo. You call me ma’am and I will poke you in the eye.” He chuckles before he can hang up.

“Babe, kiss me and go help the girls,” I mumble. Her head turns, as she raises her eyebrows and they hit her bangs. She spins on her heels and walks out.

“Utoh, Pres’s old lady is peeved.” Sue chuckles and taps his knuckles against the table.

Leaving the room, we walk out into utter chaos. Jessikah and Tina are behind the bar, Tina making a pitcher of green liquid that I can only assume is margaritas, and Jessikah is wiping down glasses and placing them on the shelves under the counter.

I make my way behind the bar, place my hand at the back of Jessikah’s head, gripping her hair and pulling her back to expose the chords of her neck.

Moving in close, I lower my voice placing my lips against hers, “My woman always give me a kiss.” Slanting my head closer, I take her lips in a deep kiss while everyone cheers around us.

Pulling my lips away, I open my mouth as Neo comes running into the room. “You have to listen to this.”

He clicks a button, and a distorted voice comes over the speakers in the main room.

“ You have the list of women and children that are required to meet your end of the deal. The first woman is already waiting for transport to the golden cage. We are working on the two turtle doves. Once they are secured, Mistress can find a new area to move to,” the voice stops, heavy breathing fills the line.

“Do you know who that voice belongs to?” Jessikah asks, and is hushed by Neo as another voice says, “ Good, the puppies are swarming and the big dogs are barking for the merchandise. Make it happen quicker. Also, make sure the first bird in the golden cage gets the caged bird treatment before the showing.” Then the line goes dead.

“What the fuck is happening in our city?” Brownie asks, wrapping Tina in his arms.

“Fuck, we need to call in for more help. Get Shark on the line and bring her up to speed, Sue.” He nods and pulls his phone from the inside of his cut, punches a few buttons then leaves the area.

“Who is Shark?” Jessikah asks.

“The president of the Royal Harlots MC here in town,” I mumble, my thoughts turning to who else is on their list.
