But she’s already falling back inside her walls.
My jaw tics. “Khalid needs us all to fuck his girl for his blood bond. We’re doing it after breakfast.”
Her eyes harden, but there’s not a single flicker of care in them. “Have fun,” she sneers. “Because I’m already pregnant and I’m not fucking you for another six months.”
“I’m not going six months without sex,” I say irritably.
“Then get a whore.”
“I don’t need a whore when I have a –”
“You havenothing,” she snaps, and if looks could kill, I’d be wearing my intestines as a necklace. “Now go get your fucking dick wet and leave me the fuck alone.”
Standing abruptly, I grab some fucking clothes and storm out, getting dressed when I get in the hall. My brothers are all already at the table, talking shit. Khalid’s girl is helping Mother lay the plates out, and I take my seat in silence.
Maddox glances at me, worry in his eyes, but I ignore him. Stabbing at my food, I don’t say a word throughout the entire meal, and as soon as we’re all done, I stand. I want to get this damn blood bond done with.
Khalid’s eyes find mine, and there is a calculation there I don’t like. I keep my face schooled, all thoughts of Micha drowned out by the duty I must do.
To protect my brother.
So his life isn’t taken as payment by the blood bond.
So my torture of Micha to save him in the first place wasn’t for nothing.
Even still, he approaches me in the hall as the rest of our brothers put on their blindfolds.
“Is Micha okay with this?” he asks softly. “I know you started to care about –”
“It doesn’t bother her.” And that just fucking hurts to say out loud.
“Areyouokay with this? You didn’t take a single bite of breakfast.”
I’m so tempted to tell him I claimed Micha, then tortured her just to get him to hit me. To punish me for what I did to her, but I don’t. Because I don’t trust the words I spew to stop then, don’t trust the emotional dam leaking inside of me. And if he finds out just how much she means to me, Khalid might stop me from taking part in the blood bond. To him, it is an unforgivable sin if a man cheats on his partner. If Micha is okay with this, then that is different. He accepts that open relationships exist.
But he’d rather die than help me hurt the woman I have claimed. Or he normally would.
In this instance, I don’t know what he would do. If he would force me as reaper – for the good of the Family, so he could bond with hiskiraand find her in the next life. Or if he would still refuse to let me hurt the one I love.
And I can’t take that risk. I would rather suffer than lose him. After all the shit he’s been through, he deserves to be happy.
So I say, “I’m fine.”
“Varius –”
“I’m fine.” Dismissing him, I put on my black blindfold. Khalid might need us to fuck his girl, but he does not want any of us to see her naked. To see her face as she comes. Not wanting to see her either, to see anyone but my damn wife, I tie it tight. Then I wait in the hall with all my other brothers as Khalid and his girl go into their room.
Nearly an hour later, Khalid comes out.
And then it’s our turn, one by one, to go in.
Thirty-Three
HER
As much as I’m trying not to think about what Varius is doing in this moment, I can still see him fucking her. He has his hands in her long gorgeous hair as he’s railing her from above, grunting and groaning and talking to her like she’s fucking special. He holds eye contact until he leans down to suck her giant titties into his mouth. Then he’s coaxing her into an orgasm, talking her through the tight fit of his cock.
“That’s it, baby. Just relax for me. Gods, you feel so good around my cock. Much better than Micha. Fuck, baby, you are taking me so well. Squeeze me just like that.”
