I clench my teeth. I really want to stab this bitch in her face, but I won’t start a war just because she’s being petty. I’ll prove myself to Varius that I can be level-headed enough to rule alongside him. Oh, look at me, growing up and not letting one brash moment ruin the rest of my future.
Father would be so proud.
Relaxing my jaw, I smile sweetly. “I’m sorry for trying to show you my knife, Zara. I just thought you’d like to see how pretty it was close up.”
“Do you think I’m dumb?”
“Considering you decided to show me images of you fucking my husband while I was within stabbing range? Uh, yeah.”
“Why you little –”
“Did you break into her mind, Zara?” Varius says softly, and the blood instantly drains from her face.
“Of course not. That’s –”
“Kill her,” he says flatly. “I’ll deal with the rest.”
He releases me, then disappears from my side. There is a second of disbelief from both me and her, especially since Varius left me my eight-inch knife. The horror and shock on her face pleases me greatly, but I know watching her life fade will please me more. Smiling evilly, I step forward. She throws another image at my mind, trying to trip me up, but she’s a weak telepath with no capability of stopping me.
“Iris!” she screams as she backs up, but no one is coming to help her. It’s thirteen to four, but these are the infamous Shadow brothers. One of them on their own could take on all her soldiers.
So I advance without worrying. It’s time to have some fun. To get out all the stress that’s been building up inside of me for the past few weeks. I can’t kill Khalid’s girl, but I’ve just been given the green light to kill her.
Her face paling, she spins around and tries to run for the portal, but I jump forward and grab her arm.
“You wanted my man,” I say as I force her back around. “Then let’s see how well you can take eight inches.”
I shove my KA-BAR into her stomach. Her eyes widen as she gasps for air. I move the hand I have on her forearm up to the back of her neck. Leaning in close, I murmur, “You must know how much he loves to pull out all nice and slow.” Pulling the blade out, I leave in just the tip. “Before going in hard and deep.” I thrust the knife back into her.
She screams like the whore she is. Her hands push at my chest in a pathetic attempt to stop me. Pain wets her eyes as she silently begs me for mercy.
“And you must know he can go for hours.” I pull out the blade until it’s just the tip again. Then ram it back in.
She screams once more.
Then whimpers when I stab her again in the same place. My hand stays on the back of her neck, holding her still in my rage and jealousy. Holding her up when her legs give out.
“You thought you could hurt me by sharing that shit with me?” My teeth clench tight as the pain I’m pretending not to feel ricochets around my chest. “I will show youpain,” I whisper.
I shove her away from me. She falls backwards and hits the ground. She’s full-on sobbing now, terrified and bleeding out like a stuck pig.
“Please…” she rasps. “Please… I’m...sorry.”
“You’resorry?” I sneer. “You practically fucked my man in front of me, and you’resorry?”
She cries harder.
I want to carve her to pieces for the shit I’ve “seen” her do with my husband. The images are replaying inside my skull, and the jealousy eating through me is making me see red.
“But you know what? Okay,” I say as I squat down at her feet. “I’ll let you crawl back home to daddy if you do one thing for me.”
She looks at me with hope-brimmed eyes as her hands feebly press on her stomach. “Any...anything.”
“Fuck this knife like it’s Varius.”
Her eyes widen.
“I’ll even let you pick what hole he goes in.” My fingers tighten on the knife as the image of her down on her knees sucking his cock comes back to me in intricate detail. “So what do you say, Zara? You want to swallow him like you showed me?”
