Xeraphine

A few hundred Years Later

Pleasure shoots up my spine. “Fuck… that’s it. Gods, that’s it.”

The things he does with his hands will never cease to amaze me. Regardless if it’s the second day they’ve been on me, or the thousandth.

My head rests against his shoulder, and I sink into the massage he’s providing me. The sun is setting, so the warmth of his bare skin against mine will carry into the chill night that is to follow. The only sound that contests my groans of bliss is the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

Kai’s thumbs press into my muscle, and I bite hard on my bottom lip. He drags them up the nape of my neck, and I’m officially a puddle.

His breath fans against my ear as he croons, “Keep these sounds up, little demon, and I will not hesitate to take you right here.”

I wiggle my hips back, feeling just how hard that threat really is.

Turning my head over my shoulder, I smile. His hair is pulled across his shoulder, and I reach up and twirl it between my fingers. “I’m not entirely sure everyone would appreciate that. ”

He shrugs. “They just need to stay inside. Mister can warn them.”

Rolling my eyes, I draw the back of my hand down his cheek. He hums, and moves to take it into his, placing his lips against my knuckles. His thumb moves back and forth over my wedding ring, before he continues placing kiss after kiss on it. “Happy Anniversary, Xera.”

This is beach that’s directly across from the restaurant where he interrupted my date with Kit.

The same one where I said ‘I do’ to my obsessive, stalking Vampire. It feels just like yesterday that he possessively changed my last name, and I am excited that it will always be that way. I’m still as infatuated with him as I was the day he fucked me in my apartment.

He reaches with his opposite hand around my head, and rests it against my cheek. I turn, pressing my mouth against his palm, feeling the cold metal of his band.

“Happy anniversary, Kai.” I stare into his crimson eyes as he gives me that handsome smirk I see even in my dreams. “Thanks for being everything I’ve needed in this life.”

His tug draws me against him, my chest pressing against his. “In this life, and all the ones we will have after. Remember, for our eternity—nothing less, little demon.”

“For our eternity.”
