“I’m always ready for you.” She smiles and winks, spinning around and slipping her hands in the back pocket of her jeans, swinging her hips from side to side.

“That’s it, baby!” I shout, cupping my hands over my mouth. “Shake that ass!”

She extends her middle finger, flipping me off and I throw my head back laughing.

That’s my Kitty and there’s absolutely nothing I would do to change her.

She opens up the SUV door to get in but stops when a truck drives into the compound, her back straightening. I frown at her response and walk around to her, watching as the truck comes to a stop in front of the warehouse and the door opens.

A guy steps out, dressed in all black with Ray-Bans covering his eyes. His hair is shaved on both sides and longer on top, I can see tattoos on his neck and hands, and up his forearms. He looks around, and when he spots me and Kitty, his lips lift into a grin before he pulls the glasses off his face.

“No,” she whispers, but when I look at her, she has an equally big grin on her face. “You came!”

She runs at him full throttle, not stopping and flinging herself at him. He catches her and spins her around in a circle, both of them laughing.

Seeing his hands on her has mine clenching into fists as I stomp toward them. That motherfucker better get his hands off my woman before I chop them off.

“Kitty?” I growl when I’m a few feet away from them, widening my stance and looking up at the guy. I’m tall and over six foot, but Jesus, this guy is huge.

“Charlie!” She jumps out of his hold, standing by his side as he wraps his arm around her shoulders. “This is Dean.” She looks up at Dean and says, “Dean, this is Charlie, my boyfriend.”

Fuck, just hearing those words come out of her mouth has me standing that much taller.

“Mind telling me why you have your hands on my woman?” I raise a brow and his come down into a frown, looking at me and then Kitty before jumping back and holding his hands up in the air.

“Dude,” he chuckles. “It ain’t like that, I’ve looked after her since she was a bratty twelve-year-old, she’s like a little sister to me.”

Kitty snorts with laughter, turning around to look at Dean and then me, not able to get a hold of herself as she gasps. “Dean was my bodyguard.”

My eyes widen when I realize who he is, the person who Evan has been trying to find since Kitty left for rehab and I extend my hand to him. “Sorry.” I shrug, not knowing what else to say.

“It’s all good.” He grins. “So, what’s a guy gotta do to get a beer around here?”

Kitty smiles and walks toward me, resting her hand on my chest and winking. “That was so fucking sexy.”

“Huh?”

“You being all, ‘me man, she woman, mine.’” She trails her hand over my bicep and squeezes. “I can’t wait to christen every single room in our new house.”

She twirls around, putting her hand in the crook of Dean’s elbow, leading him into the warehouse and shaking her ass for added effect. Damn, I can’t wait to get that ass back home.
