Story: Seeing Red

True

After folding the letter, I tucked it into my desk drawer and stood up. The spare room in Greyson and Noah’s house was my office slash library now. It had more space than my entire cabin and Noah had spent a month installing built-in bookshelves for the walls.

It was perfect. I liked not having to go back to my cabin to have my own space. I loved that they wanted me to have my own space in their house.

“Red, you ready? We’re leaving in five.”

Greyson’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

Five minutes.

I scanned my outfit from head to toe.

I could work with five minutes.

I wasready, technically. But I’d taken a break after doing my makeup to write that letter.

Pulling the door open, I found Greyson leaning against the wall opposite my room.

He closed the space between us, bringing the scent of leather and mint. A ready smile curved his lips and the butterflies in my stomach fluttered.

That damn dimple.

“Hey, True.”

“Hi, Greyson.”

“You look stunning.”

Meeting his eyes, I smiled.

“I would kiss you, but I don’t want to fuck up your lipstick.”

His words held a seductive promise I couldn’t resist.

Head cocked, I rose a brow. “That’s never stopped you before.” I ran a hand over his shoulder, dusting invisible lint off his jacket. “And what if I want you to fuck it up?”

Greyson’s mouth crashed into mine before I could finish the question.

He had me in my favorite place—caged between his body and the wall. His lips were demanding and the hand curled around my waist was possessive.

This man could kiss me senseless like it was the first time, every single time.

Greyson stepped back, the pad of his thumb running over his bottom lip.

His penetrating stare froze me in place before he pulled his eyes away and said, “Four minutes, Red. Go fix your makeup.”

There was a gratifying strain in his voice that put a pep in my step as I walked down the hall.

The closer I got to our bedroom, the more I craved another kiss.

Maybe I could find Noah before I fixed my makeup.

Just in case.
