Story: Now and Forever
“Sweetheart, everything happens to you!”
I can’t help but smile.
“Dinner’s ready,” announces Simona. “You can come and sit down anytime.”
“Go on, Flyn. Go with Simona.”
The boy runs to the kitchen, and Simona goes after him. Then Eric gives me a hot and sexy kiss on the lips that leaves me stunned. “How was your day in Munich?”
“Great. But you already know that because you called me a thousand times!”
Eric grins. “I was worried. You don’t know the city, and it makes me uneasy to think of your walking around alone.”
I sigh, but I don’t have time to respond.
“So, tell me, where did you go?”
I give him a rundown of the places I visited, all great and amazing, and when I mention the bridge with the padlocks, his response surprises me.
“I think it’s a great idea. We can go to the Kabelsteg to put a lock on it whenever you want. By the way, in Munich there are other lovers’ bridges too. There are the Thalkirchner and the Großhesseloher.”
“Do you already have a lock on any of those?” I ask.
Eric looks at me and, with a half smile, he whispers, “No, Cuchufleta, you’ll be my first.”
I’m blown away. My Iceman is more romantic than I imagined.
“What do you think about you and me having dinner at Björn’s house tonight?”
My body warms in a flash, and I’m out of breath. I know what that means. Without taking my eyes off him, I nod.
“I think it’s a fantastic idea.”
Eric lets go of me and goes into the kitchen, and I hear him talking to Simona. I also hear Flyn’s protests. He’s angry because his uncle is leaving. Once my crazy love returns, he takes me by the hand and says, “Let’s get dressed.”
Eric is amazed by the lock I put on the door to our room. I promise we’ll use it only at specific moments, and he understands.
“I bought something I want to show you. Please sit and wait a minute,” I say, a little anxious.
I quickly go to the bathroom. I’m not going to tell him about the naughty-cop costume. I’ll keep that surprise for another day. I take off my clothes and put on my tasseled top. Amused, I open the bathroom door and stand before him like Mata Hari.
“Wow!” Eric exclaims when he sees me. “What did you get?”
“They’re for you.”
Amused, I move my shoulders, and the tassels sway. Eric laughs. He bolts the door. I grin. Before getting into bed, my hungry wolf murmurs, “I love them, sweetheart. I’ll enjoy them now, but don’t take them off. I want Björn to see them too.”
With a smile, I accept his voracious kiss. “OK, my love.”
An hour later, Eric and I take off in his car. I’m nervous, and more excited with every second. My stomach clenches. I won’t be able to dine, and when we get to Björn’s, my heart is racing like a runaway horse. As expected, the handsome Björn receives us with the best of his smiles. He is a very sexy guy.
He shows me his spectacular house, and I’m surprised when he opens a door to tell me these are his private offices. He explains that there are five lawyers working here, three men and two women.
“Helga works here. Do you remember her?” Eric says as we pass one of the desks.
I nod. Eric and Björn look at each other, and, ready to be as honest as they are, I explain, “Of course. Helga’s the woman with whom we had a trio that night at the hotel, right?”
My German seems amazed by my earnestness.
I can’t help but smile.
