Story: Hello Billionaire
Gage took my arms in his hands, drawing me back against the wall like he had in the elevator. Except this time, he didn’t kiss me. He traced his nose over mine and then tilted his head so his lips were millimeters from mine.
I wanted him to kiss me so badly.
This was torture.
“You’re a mom twenty-four hours a day, Farrah. But these stolen moments, where it’s just you and me? You’remine.”
I was ready to melt into a puddle, but the door to the suite opened, and I about jumped out of my skin. Gage only straightened his shirt and assumed a stoic look. One day, I would learn how he stayed so calm and collected, but today was not that day.
I walked out of the bathroom, speaking way too perkily. “Pascale! I’m so excited to get started!”
His gaze had cooled a bit from what I’d come to expect of him, but I also knew he had a lot on his plate today.
“Gage, let’s start you undressing,” Pascale said.
If I’d been drinking coffee, I would have spit it out like some kind of cartoon character. “Pascale, I thought this was going to be a family shoot.”
He smirked. “It is. Just your shoes for now.” He winked at Gage, who loosened up slightly and laughed.
Gage kicked out of his leather shoes, and then Pascale directed him to sit on the bed. His lighting assistants moved around big flashes, and they took several shots from all different angles. Even though I wasn’t a photographer, I could picture the idea coming to life.
The best feeling after a long day of traveling was always kicking off your shoes and stretching out in bed. He was recreating that.
A petite woman with short, jet-black hair came to my side and whispered, “We can start your wardrobe change, Ms. Elkins.”
I nodded, following her back to a rack of clothing. “You can call me Farrah.”
“Dominique,” she said with a smile and then flicked through the hangers of clothes and passed me a terry cloth robe. “This is yours.”
I glanced at it. “Is it one size fits all? Because I hate to say it, but that’s not always true for people my size.”
She smiled. “Pascale has all your clothing sizes. This will be nice and comfy.”
“Perfect,” I said, taking the robe and walking out so I could change in an empty room.
I stepped into the suite across the hall, gazing around. All the wallpaper and window treatments had been installed. And even with boxes of furniture waiting to be opened and assembled, the space was gorgeous.
I stepped into the bathroom and changed into the robe, which had come with a white cotton underwear set.
Two men had bought me underwear this year. More than double the year before.
The thought brought a smirk to my lips. I didn’t mind this change.
Once I had the robe on, I walked back to the suite at the same time Gage stepped out of the bathroom in a robe matching my own.
I had to giggle, because Gage was not a robe guy. He was a walk-around-in-designer-underwear-like-he-stepped-out-of-a-magazine kind of guy. But with him aiming that incredible smile back at me, I thought he could fit more than one label.
He could be the powerful CEO and the kindhearted boyfriend.
The modelesque man and the guy I could laugh with.
And I liked every single version.

After the photo shoot, we all went to Farrah’s place for pizza. I’d only been there once before, and then I’d only been on the outside at night.
