Story: Delicious
“Yes, Precious, on a date. You know, dinner, maybe a couple of drinks.” He takes a step closer, the heat in his eyes burning a few degrees hotter as he closes the space between us. He smells warm and spicy in a strangely comforting way, and I catch myself swaying towards him as he brings the back of his hand up to slowly caress my cheek. “See where the night takes us.”
I’m nodding before I’ve even given myself time to fully process. His lips are close, and his body is warm, even with an inch of space left between us. Worst-case scenario, I have to start frequenting a different taco truck for lunch. Or, god forbid, pack myself something healthy from home. But best-case scenario…? My mind is quick to offer up a barrage of possibilities ranging from a blur of naked, sweaty flesh to silly, domestic fantasies of ‘happily ever after.’ It’s worth the coin flip.
Bas’s hot breath ghosts over my face and I’m tempted to just go for it, get the first kiss out of the way so we know if the chemistry is real or not. Guillermo whines and leans into my legs, playing up his assigned role of cockblocker all too well.
“Know any restaurants that allow dogs?” Bas asks, taking a small step back. “Or we could get something from one of the food trucks that are still open and have a little picnic right here.”
“I actually do know a place with patio seating that’s dog friendly. It’s just down the street.” I’m still bracing for him to tell me he’s changed his mind or that this isn’t such a good idea after all, but he just smiles wider.
“Lead the way.”
ChapterFour
Bas
Guillermo trots along politely on Dylan’s other side, not tugging on the leash or barking at anyone who passes us. Our hands brush every time we swing our arms, and we keep casting shy, sidelong glances at each other like a couple of kids with their first crushes. I forgot how exciting and electrifying this feels—a first date with a cute guy, filled with anticipation and possibilities.
“Alright, so I already know you have good taste in TV shows, you work at a veterinary clinic, and you have a cute smile…”
Dylan blushes and grins right on cue, his fingers twitching against mine as our hands bump again.
“Uh-huh. And I know you make the best damn tacos in Wisconsin and that you dump blind dates so your brother won’t have to.”
I chuckle and finally reach out for his hand, threading my fingers between his and tugging him a little closer.
“Only the ones I’d rather keep for myself,” I flirt.
The pink in his cheeks deepens and he glances over at me again, a hint of determination mixed with the shyness this time, a little spark of heat and confidence shining in his pretty green eyes.
“I have a confession to make.” Dylan licks his lips and my eyes linger for a few seconds on the damp glisten I’m dying to add to. I want to slip my tongue into his mouth and kiss him until his lips are puffy and wet. “I’ve had a little bit of a crush on you for a while now.”
My insides buzz and crackle with an electric, giddy feeling. I lean in towards him until I can see goose bumps rising along the side of his throat as my breath ghosts over his skin.
“I have a confession to make too,” I whisper, just barely resisting the urge to tug his earlobe between my teeth to see if it would make him gasp or squirm. “I never give anyone else an extra taco or free guac.”
He lets out a breathy laugh and slows to a stop, turning his head towards me. The move brings our lips within an inch of each other again and I notice his eyes dipping down to linger on my mouth.
“No?”
I shake my head. “Nope. Just you.”
He moves so quickly I barely have time to react before his mouth is on mine. His lips are soft and his warm breath dances across the seam of my mouth as we both sink into the slow, sweet rhythm of the kiss. Instead of racing, my heart slows to match the syrupy pace of our lips against each other, and all the electric heat that was zipping through my veins a minute ago concentrates in the pit of my belly. Dylan whimpers and the sound vibrates through me.
The kiss only lasts a few seconds, but by the time we break apart, we’re both breathing a little harder. It’s just as satisfying as I thought it would be to see his lips damp with my saliva instead of his own.
“If you’ll kiss me like that for an extra taco and a side of guac, what will a free burrito get me?”
“Oh, I would do some truly filthy things for a free burrito,” he murmurs.
I raise both eyebrows and smirk. “Yeah? How about for an enchilada?”
His eyes flash with amusement and something hotter and more primal. Guillermo chuffs and dances impatiently as our feet, but Dylan ignores the dog’s protest and brings his lips to my ear, lowering his voice to a throaty whisper.
“For a free enchilada, I’d let you strip me naked and slowly lick every inch of my body until I’m squirming and begging for your cock.”
Holy hell. My cock swells and a groan builds in my throat. How did Dylan know that my biggest weakness is shy guys who secretly have dirty mouths? Is the first date too soon to propose to him? Maybe I should at least get through dinner before promising him my undying devotion.
“My truck is still parked on the square. We can head back over there right now, and I could whip you up a whole combo plate in no time at all,” I flirt back, giving in to the urge this time and tugging his earlobe between my teeth. He gasps just like I was hoping he would and presses his body into mine, letting me feel the hard swell of his cock for just a second before he pulls away again.
