Diving in again, our teeth clash. Our tongues swirl together. Our groans match the thundering beat of our hearts. I hang onto him as he catapults me to the brink of insanity.

He follows right after, becoming a reckoning force.

Lacing our fingers together, I’m shoved against a table and pushed down without our lips disconnecting. Laying me on my back until my feet lift off the floor, his kiss turns rougher, harsher, and deeper.

He plunders my mouth.

I follow his lead, kissing him back fervently.

At a loss for air, I tear my hands from his and scratch my nails down his back. Teeth closing in on my lower lip, he tugs until I whimper. Pinning me down with a hand around my throat, he sucks the sore spot and soothes it with a wet lick.

He looms like a dark god above me. “Tell me he never had you like this.”

“Never.”

“Tell me he doesn’t know how pretty your swollen lips look, how you fall apart with a single stroke of a man’s tongue. Or how sweet your moans sound.”

“None of it.”

“And he never fucking will, will he? He missed his chance.” His fingers press on the sides of my neck possessively. “He won’t get your shy smiles, your flirting, see how beautiful you look when you wake up in the morning. He will never have what you and I have.”

Pushing against his grip, I lean on my elbows and wrap my legs around him. Then I erase all his doubts. “Nathan didn’t miss his chance, he never stood a chance in the first place. He hasn’t seen the side of me that I am when I’m with you. Do you want to know why?”

“Why?”

“Because I haven’t lived with him, cooked for him, shared a bed with him, or slept in his arms. I’ve only ever been your shadow, not his, Kian. Now, will you please kiss me?”

Swooping down, his lips slam against mine.

Angling my head the way he wants, he dominates my senses. Kisses me like there’s no tomorrow. Only right here, right now.

I taste his need. His thirst. The alcohol on his tongue.

Lifting me with an arm around my waist, I’m carried somewhere.

Coldness hits my back as I collide with the glass wall behind me, separating us from the pool. The soft sizzling sound of the water lapping in the pool pierces my ears. Blending with my heavy breathing and wild heartbeat.

Setting me down on my feet, he releases me and steps back, panting harshly.

Hands that I ache to feel on me slowly rise to land on either side of my head, cornering and trapping me.

Fiery gray eyes hold me immobile without even touching. They narrow a fraction as they bore a hole through me. “Show me.”
