Story: Between the Stars
He sighs contently, moving his fingers lightly over my naked body, my dress discarded.
“Never put that dress back on.” He breaks the kiss as he tilts his head back, his lips parted as he lets out a shaky breath and removes his splint.
I smile and rock my hips into his. “Give me a reason not to.”
His lashes flutter and he bites the corner of his lip and continues working on his splint.
“Are you supposed to do that?”
“Nope.” He tosses it aside, his movements eager as they always are with me.
“Don’t then.” I touch my hand to his cast. “Let me take care of you.”
“I missed you,” he breathes, watching me with hooded eyes as I sink down on him, every thick inch of him stretching me.
“I’m glad you crashed my wedding.”
He rests his forehead against mine, every muscle in his chest straining. “Don’t stop kissing me,” he breathes, his lips fluttering over mine, wet, hot, and so needy. I can’t deny him. I never could. His hips twitch, his tongue assaulting me.
“Jace?” I rise up on my knees, and then back down on him and he groans.
“Yeah?” He chuckles at my endless questions, his voice a rough pant into my collarbone. The sensations of his lips fluttering over my skin takes my breath away.
“There’s not a lot of room in here.”
He pauses and I feel the smile of his lips. “My back-seat taker doesn’t need room.” There’s truth in his words and I look up at the headliner in the car, the sounds of rain hitting the metal roof reassuring me this is so right. “And I can’t wait any longer.”
My thighs spread wider, and he hits the deepest parts of me as I grip the back of his neck and pull his mouth to mine.
He’s right. It’s going to because this is too consuming. I need this all-in, falling experience of not being able to wait another second to be with him. If we’re going to do this, we’re doing it our way.
Jace shudders, his legs tensing as I rock my hips forward.
“I missed you so fucking much,” he groans, dropping his head to my shoulder.
I smile, staggering between rapid breaths, but the reality is, I missed him too, and being here with him now reminds me I made the right decision walking out of that church.
And I have this guy to thank for it.
Sweeping my hands over his shoulders to his cheeks, I hold his face in my hands. “Jace…” I say his name but I don’t know what I’m searching for.
“I love you,” he rushes to say, leaning forward to capture my lips and pushing his tongue into my mouth. He grunts, lifting his hips, whimpers of frustration falling from him. “Fuck me,” he practically begs.
It’s not easy, but when you want something enough, you make do.
Jace lays his head back against the seat, gripping my hip tighter. Our heavy pants and pleas to never stop fill the space between us. I suck his bottom lip between my teeth, rocking forward, and back again. I fuck him like he begged, desperate to remind him this is us. There’s more than sex here, but we started like this and like it or not, it’s the connection we both crave.
A moment when nothing matters but the two between the stars.
His hand moves from my hip to my hair, tightening his fist as he lifts his hips to meet mine. “I can’t wait to have this forever.”
“You will,” I moan, my orgasm building… and in the next breath, I come on his cock as he tenses beneath me.

An hour later—aftergetting gas—Jace and I sit at a roadside diner. As if this is completely normal. Like he didn’t just crash my wedding.
Him in his tux still, missing the jacket that I’m wearing, and me in pajamas. Apparently in my rush to get the fuck out of that condo and Griff’s life, I only grabbed pajamas and like two pairs of underwear.
