K-Pop Newsfeed article: “Bright Star Entertainment Announces They’re Going Public”

Bright Star Entertainment announced they are going public.

Recent successes highlighted in the announcement include the popularity of Robbie Choi’s self-produced mixtape, which was released earlier this fall, with one of the songs even hitting the iTunes chart, despite not being an official album.

The announcement also included the success of Bright Star’s breakout rookie group, Kastor. The girl group’s first mini album broke debut records as the largest first day sales by a debut girl group. Kastor has already been nominated for multiple Rookie of the Year awards.

There is one mystery in Bright Star, however: Where is Shin Hyeri?

The rookie actress was a huge rising star earlier this year, even winning the Entertainment Newcomer of the Year award for her appearance on the variety show Our Celebrity Marriage with WDB’s Moonster. There were rumors she would be cast in Musical Dreams , but Bright Star released a statement last month disputing it. Since then, Bright Star has not announced any future projects for the young star. And Shin Hyeri has not been seen in public since she finished her stint on Our Celebrity Marriage earlier this month.

Fans have taken to forums to share theories that perhaps she was more injured while defending Kim Ana from an attack by a sasaeng fan at the Hallyu Wave Awards at the end of the summer. Kim Ana—who is taking time off due to anxiety—did post a message of appreciation for Shin Hyeri after the ordeal, dispelling the longtime rumors of a rivalry between the girls.

Many fans are hoping for Shin Hyeri’s good health and sending her encouraging messages to come back as soon as she’s able!

In the meantime, most are waiting impatiently for WDB’s comeback schedule. Many speculate that the comeback dates will be announced right before Bright Star Entertainment officially goes public later this month.
