Page 24 of Unspoken Lies
“Need a little prison riot to help?” he asks, barely moving his lips as he leans against the walk beside me.
“What will it cost me?” I ask in return.
“I’m bored, and I’ve been asked to start some shit to teach someone else a lesson,” he explain with a shrug.
“So this is a side long favor?” I ask.
“Nah, this is six degrees of separation or some shit,” he says with a smirk. “If you want to fuck him up, this is your chance. It’s gonna get brutal fast. It’s been a while since we’ve had a riot break out, and the guards aren’t as vigilant. Look.”
Allowing my gaze to move through the room, I see there are more newbies on shift, and that they’re idly talking. Their attention isn’t as focused as it needs to be, and the inmates have noticed. All the better for me.
This will be worth ending up in solitary confinement.
“Start creeping over,” Henderson says, his eyes on a huge inmate who is walking somewhat aimlessly. It’s gaining the attention of the guards somewhat erroneously it seems.
I can see that others are moving slowly as well, which means I begin to walk closer to Colton. When shit hits the fan, I’ll be in a position to do something about it.
My shiv gets pulled out of one of my hidden pockets in increments, my heart beat moving as if in slow motion. There’san anticipation in the air, and I can see some of the more seasoned guards beginning to feel it.
It’s too late to defuse it though. Heads are gonna fucking roll.
As if there’s a hidden signal, Henderson fucking decks the inmate in front of him, and shit gets wild.
Colton tries to make a run for it, but I grab him by his stupid, fluffy hair and pull him back. My shiv is within reach, yet I punch the dick where his kidney is located, hard. I continue punching him, enjoying the way he begins to choke on blood.
I’m much taller than him, making it easy for me to press my lips to his ear. I’m not going to have much time to play with my food, and that’s a pity. Riots live and die within minutes because of how fast guards react.
Though, they still are scrambling to pull their heads out of their asses.
“Fight, fight, fight!” The inmates scream as they brawl, and it’s a thing of beauty.
“I don’t know how you ever thought Rachelle was someone you could rape,” I rasp in his ear as I pull the shiv from my jumpsuit. “This is for her. May it help to kill some of her demons in the afterlife.”
“Wait, what?” he yells, but I’m already stabbing him over and over in his neck with the shiv. The fucking thing gets slippery with blood, so my solution is to use the heel of my hand to shove it all the way into his throat.
Good luck getting that out. The sounds of him choking on his own blood isn’t enough, so I turn his body to face me and begin to pummel it with my fists. When he falls amidst the crush of bodies, I stomp on his body. Another inmate snickers as he sees me, and we proceed to kick the shit out of him together.
“I wonder if his head’ll come off!” the inmate screams, and I simply shrug.
I’m consumed with bloodlust, the screams of the men around me driving me to do things I don’t know if I’d do otherwise. The inmate and I kick and jump on Colton’s body, trying to behead him. I’m not entirely sure when his heart stopped, but there’s blood all over my face when the brawl is finally broken up, and one of the guards tazes me in his effort to take me down.
As my body drops, and various inmates are also tased or forced to stop fighting, my eyes meet Colton Baal’s blank, dead stare. His face is swollen with bruises and blood, his body covered in blood from my shiv stabbing him over and over.
Today, Justice was met in a way that the United States Judicial System couldn’t. As my eyes droop from the adrenaline dump and the electricity still pulsing through my body, the guard pulls me up to do whatever it is that’s needed for my part in the riot. I don’t know if I’ll be punished for killing this pedophile.
Frankly, I don’t think it matters.
I can’t control my body right now, so I’m at his mercy. I don’t care though, because Colton is dead.
Fly high, Sweet Girl.I hope you’re watching from heaven, Rachelle, and that you’re proud of me. Be at peace.
CHAPTER 7
Four Months Later
JARED
It’s been too busy to worry about why Elijah is jumping at shadows, or why Theo is working on a secret project on his computer. They both reassured me that their minds were fully invested.
