Page 122 of Unspoken Lies
“Elijah says you’re having nightmares, so yes it is,” he growls.
“How would he know?” I ask, annoyed.
“Open up your eyes,” he says. “Elijah is fucking head over heels for you. He feels like shit about how we treated you before. He’s been sleeping next to your bed on the ground. Whenever you start to have a nightmare, he’ll reach up and hold your hand. He’s sore as shit though, and he has an exam this week. Therefore, this has to stop.”
I’ve been sleeping deeper than normal. I even looked up to see if that and nightmares are normal while taking Prozac, and found that they are. I have a lot of material for my dreams to run wild unfortunately. I’m not necessarily worried about it yet, because there are many reasons why I could be having dreams like this.
Simply being in this house without Nacio and Lili could cause this as well. I’m a mess.
“Jared,” I groan. “You’re not allowed to make me feel bad for him.”
My husband snorts, rolling his eyes. “Give him a break. Elijah had been a shadow of himself, until he found out you were alive. Jumping at shadows, imagining he was seeing you.”
“When did he think he saw me?” I ask, struggling to understand why Elijah would be the most affected.
“The first time was at a gas station the night we were driving to Santa Barbara from Portland,” he says.
I’m not sure why that triggers a memory, but I shake my head. There was no reason that I would have been at a gas station while they were.
“I wouldn’t have been there,” I mumble. Jared begins to walk with me to Theo’s bedroom and shrugs.
“I never said it made sense. We’ve all had ‘Rachelle’ sightings, but Theo and I were seeing Liliana from afar. You two look very alike when you don’t take into consideration the height differences,” he says.
I have no idea what time it is since I’ve been working on school assignments in my pajamas. I know they went to work tonight, but I turned on music and lost myself to the passage of time.
“I haven’t been haunting you, that’s for sure,” I say lightly.
“I have no doubt you would have though,” Jared mumbles. “I bet your ghost would be petty as fuck.”
Squealing as he tosses me onto the bed, I gasp as I bounce a couple of times on the mattress.
“Are you trying to tell me it’s time for bed?” Theo asks sleepily, his glasses slightly crooked on his nose as he stands, half dressed in a pair of joggers. He’s standing at the entrance of the room staring at me as if he wants to eat me.
Since I’ve been alone all night, I am only wearing one of Ignacio’s shirts.
“Is that Ignacio’s?” Elijah asks almost shyly as he steps out of the bathroom. I guess they really are all ready for bed. He’s in a pair of boxers and nothing else.
“Yeah, I miss him,” I confess. “Nacio, Lili, and Emil aren’t really checking in while they’re gone due to their work. This shirt still has his smell and reminds me of him.”
“Good, sleeping next to you will be like sleeping with him too,” Theo says unabashedly, pushing down his joggers to allow them to fall to the floor.
My jaw drops when his pierced cock bobs out and he climbs onto the bed.
“Why are you not wearing pants to bed?” I squeak out.
His smile is slow and wicked as he shrugs.
“It’s my bed, Kitten. You just happen to be in it.”
“Keep your dick away from me,” I complain, almost whimpering as Elijah and Jared strip as well.
This isn’t fucking fair.My conflicting feelings about them are making my pussy clench around nothing, instead of sewing itselffiguratively up in refusal to take notice of their well muscled bodies.
Not interested, not at all. Nope.
I can feel how wet I’m beginning to get as they get into bed, betraying how I really feel. Elijah takes major liberties as he lays on top of me with his head between my boobs.
“Elijah,” I warn.
