The wisest choice in this situation, was for Lin Yuan, the Boss herself, to step forward and clarify.

The number of people joining in the discussion kept increasing, and the situation was evolving from a local issue to an overall crisis. If the matter wasn’t clarified soon, it would truly spiral out of control.

Shopkeeper Liu was frantically pacing on stage; he had already shouted at the crowd multiple times, asking them to listen to him, but either no one was listening, or if they did, they dismissed it as if it was nothing – nobody believed him.

Even worse, Lin Yuan’s figure was nowhere to be found in the elegant room on the second floor.

Shopkeeper Liu was red-faced with shame, berating himself for not having any ability to adapt on the spot despite his many years of life.

Just as he was at his wits’ end, a group of people suddenly walked onto the stage. Shopkeeper Liu didn’t react at first, his immediate thought was that someone was coming to cause trouble!

Before he could even call for help, he took a proper look and, goodness, why did these people look so familiar? Where had he seen them before?

After looking more closely, Shopkeeper Liu chided himself and slapped his forehead!

Weren’t these Fuman Building’s own chefs? The first few who came up were just assistants who weren’t seen often, so he didn’t recognize them at first glance.

But what were these chefs doing on stage instead of cooking in the restaurant? Had they come to attend the new product launch as well? But why hadn’t Miss Lin informed him beforehand? Was this a last-minute addition to the program?

"Hey, hey, what’s going on? Why have you all come here?" Finally seeing someone he recognized, Shopkeeper Liu quietly grabbed Chef Wang’s arm and asked anxiously.

Chef Wang furrowed his brows, "I don’t know either, we were all busy in the kitchen when the Boss sent someone to tell us we all had to come up on stage. Oh no, my fish is still in the pot, it’s definitely going to get burnt when I go back!"

Everyone had come? Was there no one left in the kitchen? Although he wasn’t worried about the kitchen, there were still many patrons in the restaurant waiting for their food.

Just as he was puzzled, two more young men walked onto the stage, each carrying a tray. On the trays were the stinky tofu, the star of today’s launch event.

They had prepared quite a lot of it for everyone to sample today. Luckily, it was prepared in advance; otherwise, they would have struggled to cope with today’s unforeseen circumstances!

With so many people suddenly appearing on stage, the crowd below naturally took notice. Curiosity overtook indignation, and without waiting for Liu and the others to call out again, the audience started quieting down.

Lin Yuan, finally, made her appearance under everyone’s watchful gaze.

Instead of her usual bright red outfit with rabbit fur trimmings, Lin Yuan was wearing a plain-colored long dress embroidered with plum blossoms, complemented by a matching vest, giving everyone a refreshing and approachable impression upon her entrance.

Compared to Shopkeeper Liu’s low voice, Lin Yuan’s was much clearer and more pleasing to the ear.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am Lin Yuan, the owner of Fuman Building. I thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend our new product launch. Lin Yuan thanks you all here."

As she spoke, Lin Yuan pressed her hands together and sincerely bowed, a gesture that immediately endeared her to many.

Most of those present were ordinary people of modest means, and the appearance of the owner of Fuman Building, who not only looked pure and ethereal but was also so approachable, was a stark contrast to the other arrogant restaurateurs.

Ma Junying smiled softly; this girl was very adept at understanding the human heart. The first battle had been beautifully won.
