Capturing one of her nipples with his mouth, he teased it, suckling lightly, then harder, flicking it with the tip of his tongue, and then scraping his teeth against it.
There were still the lingering marks of the bite he’d given her when they’d first made love, and he found he liked seeing his mark on her.
Maybe he’d keep one on her body permanently so she never doubted that he saw every single side of her, even the ones she hid from everybody else.
Moving away from her breast, he put the toy back between her legs, and even though the orgasm had receded, it built quicker this time.
Only a minute or so later, he pulled the toy away and lavished attention on her other breast. Sucking, and licking, enjoying the way she thrust her chest forward, seeking more of his attention.
This time he moved down her body, using his mouth and his fingers instead of the massager.
Featherlight kisses dotted her entrance and her bundle of nerves, and then he slid a single finger inside her, pumping it lazily in and out as he continued to pepper kisses to her bud, light enough that they wouldn't let her come even though he knew she was close.
“Please, Jax, please,” she begged, tears shimmering in her eyes, but from the flush of arousal on her skin, he knew that despite her desire to come, she was enjoying every second of their play as much as he was.
“Mmm, not sure we’ve been at this an hour yet,” he reminded her.
“But I've learned my lesson.”
Adding another finger, he stroked deep, making sure the pads of his fingers caught that special spot inside her, and she moaned and rocked her hips into his touch. “I'm not sure you have, princess. If I'm too lenient on you, I might lose you.”
Her gaze locked on his. “You won't.”
“I don’t want to,” he answered honestly. “I don’t want to lose you.”
“You won't,” she repeated. “You haven’t. ”
Those words hit him firmly in the chest, and all of a sudden, he couldn’t hold back. Withdrawing his hand, smirking as she mewled another protest, Jax stripped out of his clothes and then spread his body out over hers.
One thrust and he was buried deep in her tight, wet heat.
Touching a kiss to the fading bite mark on her chest, he then kissed her hard on the mouth.
“Maybe I shouldn’t let you come at all, that would really teach you a lesson, wouldn't it?” he asked as he pulled back and then thrust in hard, knowing his girl could take it, that she wasn't fragile and didn't want to be treated like she was.
“You wouldn't,” Monique said, but there was a thread of doubt in her voice.
“Oh, princess, I absolutely would.” Another hard thrust made her cry out, and he knew she was so close to coming she could taste it.
While another time he might deny her an orgasm as he came inside her, that time wasn't today. Today, he wanted them to come together. She’d forgiven him when she had no reason to, was giving him another chance, and he wasn't going to do anything to mess up that chance.
“Please, Jax, please. Let me come. I'm begging you.” Her hips rocked against him as much as they could with her bound ankles.
“Begging, huh?” Balancing his weight on one hand, his other hand touched her where their bodies were joined. “Then give me everything you have, princess.”
Picking up the pace he pumped himself in and out, sinking in as deep as he could with every thrust while his fingers worked her bundle of nerves, until she was crying out his name as her internal muscles clamped around him, setting off his own orgasm.
It crashed through him with all the power of a hurricane, drenching him in emotions and feelings. And even as the storm receded, something settled in his chest, a knowledge that he was right where he was supposed to be.
This beautiful woman beneath him was his to protect, his to care for, his to see, and he was going to make sure she never doubted again that she was seen for who she was and not for her last name.
Which started with the mammoth task of convincing her that her father was a dangerous rapist who would end her life to protect his own.

“Whoa,” Monique exclaimed as they drove through a huge wrought iron gate and approached an enormous Gothic mansion.
It looked like something out of a movie.
It was huge, four stories high from the looks of things, with at least a dozen windows on either side of the front door.
Ivy grew over parts of the building, which only added to the mystique vibe the place had going.
While she had no idea what state they were in, since apparently the only way the Delta Team guys would bring you here was blindfolded, wherever they were was someplace with thick forests everywhere, reminding her a little of her home.
Although they were deep in the forest, there was a huge expanse of open lawn surrounding the Gothic mansion.
“How come there are no trees close to the house?” she asked, leaning forward in her seat.
“Safety,” Lion responded with a single-word answer. Something she’d gotten used to over the last few hours.
At first, she’d been a little put off when they reached the airfield and boarded the plane, only to be told she would have to wear a blindfold for the duration of the flight and that it wasn't negotiable.
It was that or Lion would inject her with a sedative that would knock her unconscious until they reached their destination.
Not willing to allow herself to be that vulnerable with strangers after the ordeal of the last few days, she’d gone along with the blindfold thing. Without her sight, her nerves had gotten the best of her, and in an attempt to ease them, she’d chattered away the entire flight.
While Jax had joined in on her random chatter, obviously sensing her need to fill the silence so it didn't feel like she was without her sight and her hearing, Lion contributed only the bare necessity.
If she asked him a question, he answered with as few words as possible, but despite that she liked the big man with the wild, dark blond hair .
“You mean like if someone is sneaking onto your property, you’ll be able to see them as they approach your house?
” she asked. Jax had warned her that the Delta Team guys were a little …
extra, but she didn't come from this world, and she didn't really know what exactly that meant. So she’d determined to treat them no differently than she would anyone else.
“Yes,” Lion replied.
“Do you think that’s a possibility? That someone would try to attack you here?”
“Unfortunately,” Lion answered, and a weariness to his tone made her heart hurt.
What had these men gone through that made them so over-the-top about their security?
Growing up as she had, with her last name, she understood being security conscious, but this was taking things to a whole other level.
Hesitating for a second because Jax had told her these men didn't like being touched, Monique went with her instincts and lightly touched his shoulder. “I'm sorry you were hurt. I hope you’re able to find what you need to move on.”
Lion’s gaze snapped to meet hers in the rearview mirror, the intensity of his gaze unnerving.
There was something about his eyes that was …
unusual, to say the least. Right now, there was surprise in them, but also respect when she didn't let her gaze skitter away, and something softer like appreciation.
Offering him a smile, she leaned back in her seat, and a moment later they pulled up outside the mansion. As soon as they climbed out of the car, the front door opened and a whole stream of people came barreling out.
Of course, she immediately recognized Cassandra, and she could see the brothers she’d met in France, so she assumed the women were all their girlfriends.
There were some men she hadn't seen before, and she knew one of them had to be the other stepbrother, but she didn't know which one of them he was.
Slightly overwhelmed by the sudden rush of people, Monique found herself edging closer to Jax, who threw an arm around her shoulders and tugged her into his side like it was the most natural thing in the world, and she felt herself relax a little .
While she didn't love big crowds of people, these people weren't just any old random ones, they were Jax’s family. Cassandra’s family.
So in a way, they were kind of her family, too, even if she didn't know them very well or at all really.
Most of what she knew came from her brief interactions with Jake, Cooper, Connor, and Cole in France, and then what Jax and Cassandra had told her about them.
“I'm so glad you're here,” Cassandra said, making her way through the group to come and give her a hug. “Are you okay with the results?” she whispered in her ear so no one else could overhear them.
“I always wanted a sister, and I'm glad I got you. Are you okay with the results?” Monique pulled back so she could study her little sister’s expression and make sure she was telling the truth.
“Growing up with six brothers, I always wanted a sister, too. I’m glad the universe finally did something right and gave me you,” Cassandra replied, holding her gaze so Monique could see the sincerity in her words.
Knowing she had two people on her side out of this overwhelming group helped even more. Or maybe it was three people on her side because she noticed that Lion had positioned himself slightly between her, Jax, and Cassandra, and all the others.
“I’m glad the universe did something right and gave me you, too,” Jax murmured as he touched a kiss to her temple, and Monique was sure she must be blushing up a storm.
