Story: Titan Of My Heart

Bailey

WEDDING DAY

I stared at my reflection in the large floor length mirror.

My mom stood behind me. Her face was a wet mess of tears as she looked at my reflection.

I asked the makeup artist to be on standby because the tears were in abundance today, and I wasn’t even down the aisle yet.

When we walked into The View, it looked beautiful.

Titan and the wedding coordinator planned every detail, down to the style of my wedding dress.

I was so glad that he did because if I had to plan this, we wouldn’t be getting married so soon.

Lord knows I’m too indecisive to plan a wedding.

Our wedding colors were emerald, gold, and crème.

Titan loved my shape. He said I had a true hourglass figure.

So, I wasn’t surprised when he asked his sister to make sure I chose a mermaid style dress.

Traci altered this beauty to fit me like a second skin in all the right places along with my reception dress.

When I bought this gown, it was a simple strapless crème colored dress.

Then after I got it back from Traci, she jazzed it up by adding emerald and gold embroidery all over the gown.

Then she skin matched the mesh she added to the deep neckline that plunged down to my belly button.

What really set it off was that she dyed the multiple layers of skirts at the bottom, emerald and gold.

So, each time I walked it looked like I was walking on emerald and gold clouds.

Traci and Marlow helped me get dressed, and I wore enough boob tape so that my girls were pressed tight against me.

I was not worried about them spilling out the front.

Although Titan may have loved for my titties to pop out.

On second thought no he wouldn’t, that man got jealous if one of his brothers hugged me too long.

My hair stylist out did herself on my new sew in she curled it into big ringlets with a side bang that flowed to the middle of my back.

Then she styled it to one side of my head and pinned it back with an intricate crystal hairclip.

“You look so much like a black Barbie doll, Bailey boo.” My mom whispered as she hugged me from behind and I covered her hands with mine.

“Thank you, boo butt. You look good too.” I smiled looking at her gold floor length gown.

I felt the tears that I just got under control come again as I closed my eyes and leaned back against my mother.

I ignored the rapid clicks of the photographer’s camera as she walked around us snapping pictures.

“These pictures gone be fire.” I heard her mutter close to me. When I opened my eyes, she was so close to my face that I was sure she had each of my tears in HD as she snapped away.

“Your father would have been so happy and proud of you; I got you something borrowed,” she said turning me around to face her.

She reached into her clutch and pulled out a beautiful gold necklace with one round emerald stone in the center surrounded by tiny diamonds that I’ve seen her wear multiple times.

“Your father bought me this for my birthday and since May’s birthstone is emerald, I figured this would look beautiful with your dress,” she said, turning me to face the mirror and fastening the necklace around my neck.

The tears were back, and they were flowing, I glanced at my makeup artist, and she looked like she was going to be sick of me.

Between this wedding and my pregnancy, I might have to go without makeup because it wasn’t going to last long.

I heard a soft knock and then my brother Dante’s deep voice.

“Hey sis, I have Titan’s wedding day gift,” he said and Traci hurried to the door to get it and give him my gift for Titan.

I got him a black Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch with our wedding date inscribed on it.

I heard Traci and my brother talking at the door and when I heard her high pitched laugh, I raised my eyebrow.

Let me find out those two like each other. I thought to myself as I watched her walk to me with a slight red tint, to her brown skin and handed me a small box.

“Your something new,” she said as I took the box from her and read the note that was handwritten in Titan’s beautiful writing.

Bailey my love

I felt a little bad that we moved the wedding date from your father’s birthday in October, but I wanted you as my wife as soon as possible. Here is a little something I hope will make up for the date change.

I love you so much,

Your Titan

I smiled at the note. I understood the sentiment of why he originally planned our wedding for October, but I wanted to marry him quickly too; so I wasn’t upset that we got a date sooner than planned.

I opened the box and gasped, inside was a memorial pin with me and my father’s picture from my thirteenth birthday at Disney World.

“He asked me the night you two came over, to look for my favorite picture of you and your father,” she said, dabbing her eyes.

Titan was so damn thoughtful, first he planned this wedding and now this. My mother pinned the circular pin on my dress and kissed my cheek.

“Your something blue,” Marlow said, coming toward me carrying a box that had my lace garter belt in it, and I rolled my eyes because I thought about what Titan said the night before yesterday.

“Titan said to make sure you put that garter as close to my snappin’ turlaa as you can,” I instructed and everyone giggled.

“His ass need to stay off TikTok,” I heard Traci say from across the room.

“You look so beautiful Bailey and I’m so happy you chose me to be your Matron of honor,” Marlow said, her face was moist with tears as she hugged me tight. Her one-shoulder emerald dress had a high slit and flowed over her body perfectly. Traci was really a beast with a sewing machine.

“Yes, you’re beautiful; now let’s get your makeup refreshed and go get you married before Titan comes storming in here.

We’re already five minutes late and Torrence just texted me that Titan is starting to pace in circles at the altar and checking the watch you just gave him.

” Traci said and I got my ass in gear, once Titan started to pace, that meant his nerves were shot and his anxiety was high.

“You heard the woman; let’s move!” I yelled.
