FIFTY-SEVEN
LENNOX
FAMILY GROUP CHAT
Aiden: May I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Aiden picture of us wearing matching His Last Kiss/Her Last Kiss Bolts blue T-shirts as we stand outside city hall with huge smiles on our faces
Sara: OH MY GOD. STOP IT! YOU’RE ADORABLE. ALSO, I’M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR GETTING MARRIED WITHOUT ME.
Me: Don’t worry, you’ll all be invited to our wedding this summer in the park. I just couldn’t wait to make this one my husband.
Beckett: Congrats, guys. I think I’m officially ten for ten when it comes to matching couples. You’re welcome.
Gavin: LOL. And now you’re living across the street from him instead of next door to me. Good luck with that.
Millie: So happy for you guys, but I’ll miss having you next door.
Sara: Brunch Sunday?
Aiden: We just got married. You aren’t having boozy brunch and leaving us guys out.
Brooks: I’m with Aiden. I want to come.
Sara: All you had to do was ask Brookie. I’ll take care of you.
Brooks: CRAZY GIRL!
Sara:
Liv: Welcome to the family and the neighborhood. Just let us know where and when we’re celebrating, and we’ll be there. (Preferably without kids. Mama needs a break)
Me: Thank you. Love you all! We’ll see you Sunday!
“I can’t believe we did it,” I whisper, dropping my phone to the floor.
Beside me, my husband lies on his back on the pillow-covered floor in front of the fireplace, wearing the sweetest smile.
Aiden takes my hand in his and holds them above us so I can see our rings. There’s something about seeing the gold band wrapped around his left finger.
Mine.
He’s all freaking mine.
“Wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else.” He presses a kiss to my knuckles.
“Says the man who was engaged to another woman when this all started.”
Aiden props himself up on his elbow and tickles my side. “Take it back.”
I squeal with laughter as I fight him off. “Never.”
With his lip caught between his teeth, he hovers over me, oozing happiness. “I love you so much, wife.”
“Love you too. But do me a favor, Hockey Boy.”
Aiden grins that dopey lovestruck grin. “Anything.”
“Fuck me like you hate me.”
“Yes, ma’am.” He perks up. “You want stalker Aiden or ghost Aiden?”
I run my hand across his cheek, mesmerized by this man. “I just want Aiden.”
He eases in close, his lips brushing against mine. “Then I can only make love to you.”
I bite his bottom lip, pulling him closer. When he hisses, I let go and smile.
“Fine,” I huff teasingly. “You can be my stalker.”
He winks. “Like Casper, the friendly kind.”
