“Only people who are running from something leave the way she did,” I say. “I had someone check on her apartment and talk to her landlord. He’s a creep by the way.”
“Storm,” Wilder groans. “Please spit it out.”
“He said that she lost her job and decided to move to Minneapolis,” I explain. “I actually had Ace go out there since he had some shit to do.”
“Ace!” Prez yells, his eyes opening to look for him. He’s having a beer and watching everyone have fun. I bet he’s almost ready to go inside to bed.
Ace tosses out his bottle and stands, walking over to us.
“You yelled, Prez?” Ace asks lazily.
“I did,” Lore says. “Did you find anything odd when you did your snooping on the omega?”
“Just that she lost her job,” he says. “She couldn’t continue to pay the rent, so she broke her lease to move. The landlord didn’t seem too broken up about it, and said that she left all her furniture.”
“Why wouldn’t she get a rental truck?” I ask. “Fuck, unless it comes down to money. God, we seriously fucked her car too.”
“Damn,” Wilder winces. “I was really pissed about getting run over.”
“Mmhmm,” I grunt. “I wonder if she made it to Minneapolis, her car wasn’t drivable.”
“The police would have sorted her out,” Ace says. “My uncle works that strip as a tow truck driver. The state pays his salary and works with insurance to cover the overage. If someone can’t pay, then the state has the ability to do it.”
“Your uncle… huh,” Prez says. “Are you on good terms with him?”
“Yes,” Ace says. “Do you need me to find out if he knows where she is? I can call him.”
“Please,” he says. Ugh, I should have asked more questions. Lore’s glare in my direction tells me as much. Oh well, looks like I’ll be making it up to him by letting him fuck my face.
I don’t need oxygen to suck cock.
“Thanks, Ace. Let me know what he says,” Lore says. He waits until Ace nods and leaves before standing.
Wilder chuckles under his breath. “Work out your jaw now, Storm. You’re in so much trouble.”
“Ya know what,” Prez drawls. “You should both come with me. I have a lot of pent up energy to unload.”
Smirking, I stand, knowing that Prez always gets the biggest bed he can at the hotels we stop at, and then sleeps alone so one of us can stay with him.
“You’re always getting me into trouble,” Wilder says, hiding a smile. We are the biggest brats for our president.
Our wide steps aren’t quiet as the three of us walk, our boots thumping on the concrete around the pool. It’s after ten at night, which means they could either continue partying out here, or head to the bar next door to find someone to fuck.
This area is a little run down, but I can hear the bar’s music whenever their door opens. I think their odds of finding a lay are pretty good.
“Night, Prez!” everyone choruses before going back to their own business. In fact, a few of them get up as we disappear inside to head to the bar, asking if anyone else wants to go with them.
It’s hard for Lore to find any time for himself. The club watches closely to ensure his safety, but since Wilder is his Vice President and I’m the Treasurer, we manage to get around it. Every cent going in and out of the club is managed by me, and I’ve also been investing some to build our nest egg.
We don’t technically need to work as hard as we do, but we get restless pretty quickly. This keeps us from doing stupid shit like fucking up a girl’s entire life.
Ugh, we’re such shitheads.
Lore uses his card to open the door, walking in without holding it for us. Wilder snorts as he catches it, and I follow him inside. Our president is in a mood, I see.
Waiting until the door is shut, he turns and faces us, leaving his cut on while he begins to unbuckle his belt.
“Strip completely and kneel,” he growls.
