Reiya’s eyes widened in excitement as they lowered into the kingdom. She could see Mason, Ruby, Dex and Weston waiting for them. When Lee landed, she slid off him and ran up to see them. Lee shifted back and was beside her quickly, with his arm around her.
“Thank you for coming. Sorry it’s a couple days late.” Reiya giggled and scrunched up her nose.
Dex smiled. “I’m glad to see that everyone’s okay. We thought you’d lost Brody.”
“Yeah, we did too. It’s a long story we’ll have to tell you about. We were lucky this time.” Reiya leaned into Lee’s side as Brody approached.
“A long story we can talk about during dinner,” Brody said with a cheesy grin.
“Grumpy Bear needs his food before he goes nuclear,” Xander chuckled, walking up with Lila. “Come on, let’s go have dinner.”
“We weeded out a few more of the traitors. I think we got them all,” Mason said as they sat around the dinner table.
“Good. Thank you for your help there. We should continue to keep watch in our kingdoms after this for anyone of suspicion.” Xander smiled as he watched Brody taking down his enormous plate of food. “I thought Chelsie was the one who was supposed to be eating for two?”
“I think it’s sympathy hunger pangs.” Brody grinned and winked at Chelsie.
“I’m surprised the Kingdom of the North will have a king coming back to it, especially after he spent the night with Leviathan’s mate,” Weston said with an evil grin as he took a bite of his roll.
There was an awkward silence at first, and all eyes were on Lee. Reiya was smiling as she continued to slowly enjoy her meal.
Lee looked up and met with Dex’s nervous eyes. “Thank you for looking after Reiya while I was gone. It means a lot to know that she was well looked after in my absence.” Lee smirked as he saw the wave of relief wash over Dex’s face.
“You’re welcome,” Dex said with a smile, winking at Weston, who sat there with his mouth agape.
Reiya leaned into Lee. Everyone was starting to feel a bit more comfortable around him. Even Weston with his teasing, which was something he would never have done before. “I wish wecould all meet up more often. I’ve gotten used to being with all of you.”
“Actually, we have been talking about that,” Mason said, and Ruby leaned her head into his shoulder as they looked at Reiya. “We want to meet up every two months for a few days. We can alternate kingdoms if we want, too.”
Reiya’s eyes perked up and she looked up at Lee excitedly. “That would be amazing.”
Reiya hopped onto the bed next to Lee and snuggled into his bare chest. “I missed you more than you can ever imagine.”
Lee wrapped his arms around her and pulled her deeper into him. “Not as much as I missed you. It was the worst feeling in the world, knowing you were heading into danger and I couldn’t be next to you.”
“Aren’t you glad I did it now? Or are you? I guess a lot has changed for you, with you no longer being immortal now and mmmphh—” Reiya felt Lee’s lips smash into hers.
“I’ll never have to live without you, Reiya. That is the biggest gift and blessing I could have ever received. From now on, I will never have to know a life without you. I can’t tell you how happy I am.” He tilted his head close to her again and slowly began to kiss her. He gently prodded her lips open and dipped his tongue in her mouth, slowly tasting her, their tongues dancing together. He missed his sweet fairy. He pulled back slightly but left his lips just barely brushing hers. “I can’t tell you how much you mean to me. I am going to do my best to show you, though.”
He took her plump lips back, pressing his own into hers as he wrapped his arms captively around her head and shifted more on top of her, kissing her deeper. He then lifted up from her, trailing kisses like liquid fire along the delicate curve of her jaw and down the vulnerable column of her neck. He flicked his tongue against his mark on her before he sucked on it, drawing the tender flesh between his teeth. Her sweet, soft moans vibrated against his lips as he continued to taste her, her skin carrying the intoxicating flavor that was unique to her alone. Very softly, he traced his way back up, his lips ghosting over the flushed heat of her face. He pressed reverent kisses to her forehead, the high arch of her cheekbones, the button of her nose, and then the dimpled point of her chin. He let his hot breath singe her swollen lips as he hovered just over them, close enough to feel the rapid flutter of her breath against his mouth. “Tonight is not a night that was made for sleeping,” he whispered against her lips and felt her shiver under him. “I plan to lay claim to every inch of your body. All. Night. Long,” he murmured against her lips as he closed the gap between them.
The night was young, and he took advantage of this as he made his passionate demands of her body. And just as he said, neither one of them got any sleep that night. Instead, they enjoyed their night in euphoric pleasure. It wasn’t until the sun had begun to rise that the blissfully exhausted couple fell asleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.
Chapter 100 Love
It had been a couple of weeks since she got Lee and Brody back. The dragon party had ended, and everyone had to return to their respective kingdoms. Lila officially moved in with Xander, Ruby moved in with Mason, and Weston officiallybecame King of the Southern Kingdom. They had all agreed to get together again next month. Because of that, parting ways was not nearly as hard for everyone.
Lee, Xander, and Lila stood back, smiling at Reiya as they watched her jump around excitedly, a beaming Brody and Chelsie standing nearby. Reiya and Brody waved to the sky as a few hippogryphs began to make their descent.
“Mom, Dad!” Reiya jumped into the outstretched arms of her parents.
“My baby girl,” Asher said as he hugged her tightly against him.
“I’m so jealous! You got to kill Abaas. I’d been waiting to sink my teeth into him. I hope he suffered.” Lita squeezed Reiya in a hug and giggled.
“Mom, Dad.” Brody walked up and hugged both of his parents.
“So, you took a mate? Good for you.” Grayson walked up and patted Brody on the back.
