Warning, warning, the Western Europe District has crossed the line!

The Northern Zone has crossed the line!

The Eastern District has crossed the line...

A series of piercing intelligent alerts kept going off in the combat command room, causing the nerves of the officers in charge of the front line command to be stretched to the breaking point.

All the officers on the front line were graduates of professional schools, with excellent training records in countless simulated wars and deep backgrounds, which paved their way to becoming high-ranking commanders; yet, their actual combat experience... was almost nil.

But then again, ever since the five zones were established, there had never been direct conflict—only various rehearsals and local frictions. A full-scale war was something even the most veteran commanders were experiencing for the first time.

To say they were not nervous would be a lie, especially considering that this time, a single misstep could spell disaster for the Central Zone.

"Report, all front-line surveillance magnetic fields have been destroyed, and there’s an S-grade life form invasion!"

"So soon?" The commanders’ faces grew tense upon receiving the message, their moods souring to new lows.

"Immediately activate all weapon systems, including all weapons recently acquired from Blue Alert, activate everything!"

"Yes!"

The vast Central Federation Zone, covering almost all of Asia since ancient times, had its ecology slowly restored over hundreds of thousands of years.

Most areas were lush with greenery, and new life forms had begun to thrive on Blue Star.

Whether humans were still the rightful owners of this world was something that many scholars had begun to question.

At this moment, countless combat robots had arrived at the front lines. These robots were controlled by the lowest-ranking soldiers, who were even less valued than the engineers who laid out the networks.

Since the first decade of Digital City’s establishment, the five zones had already abandoned all modern weapons and the development of high-end combat robots, turning instead to investing in the more valuable Virtual World.

And this had led to a world war of this magnitude that, in the real world, was virtually devoid of any fireworks.

All passing creatures looked on curiously at the dense robots standing off against each other, motionless, like puppets, yet their drawn swords and bows made even passing birds and beasts too cautious to approach.

The real birds and beasts couldn’t see the battlefield, but those robots could.

In their eyes, this was a war of epic proportions!

Skies filled with artillery fire, a variety of novel weapons, laser tanks, terrifying robots, the long-range French Cannon capable of transforming into trees and rocks, stealth fighter jets, skies covered with laser fire; the entire battlefield was overturned amidst a terrifying barrage.

Not just modern weapons, but also weird and quirky items had appeared on the battlefield.

Black runes of magic, flames, frost, stars that emerged in broad daylight, creating energy storms; and on the Central Zone’s side, vast Buddhist light surged, with numerous Flying Swords carrying men and women in ancient attire flitting through the skies, striking enemy aircraft with deadly precision.

The modern weapons of several nations all came from a war game named Blue Alert, where the data for modern weapons were highly cost-effective.

Even low-level digital life forms could wield significant combat power.

In contrast, worlds like Zhu Xian, which were Xianxia Virtual Realms, required individuals with extremely high talent and decades of cultivation to be able to play an important role on the battlefield.

Thus, intense firepower was still effective in the world of digital life and the five zones spared no expense getting a large quantity of modern military hardware out of Blue Alert.

However, sheer volume could not bring about a qualitative change!!

For example, at this moment, a monstrous beast that eclipsed the sun rampaged across the battlefield.

The colossal target drew most of the firepower, but whether it was lasers or various terrifying armor-piercing rounds, they only raised dust upon hitting the beast, not even scratching a single scale off its hide.

And under the rampage of that beast, the firepower of the four zones quickly overtook them!

"Special forces, form up!!"

The commander in charge of the special forces team hurriedly issued orders.

One by one, men clad in white monk robes walked to the forefront under the cover of machinery, reciting Buddhist scriptures.

As the scriptures were recited, a golden glow began to manifest around each of the monks, and soon after, a massive virtual Buddha avatar appeared on the battlefield.

Though it was a virtual light and shadow of a Buddha, it effectively resisted artillery fire, bringing immediate relief to the pressured Central Federation forces.

The giant dragon in the sky watched this, its eyes reddening with fury. It let out an earth-shattering roar and charged forward with the force of a hurricane!

"Green Cloud Sect, form up!"

"Ninth Heaven Mysterious Punisher, transform into divine thunder. Majestic heavenly might, directed by the sword!"

This Zhu Xian skill, always on display during military drills, brought down controlled thunderbolts with a pattern, unavoidable by any modern weaponry—it was the thing most dreaded by the other four major districts!

The booming thunder hit the dragon hard, even this previously unrivaled creature wailed in agony as its black scales were blasted apart, flesh becoming a bloody mess.

"Impressive..."

In the distance, the Duchess watched the spectacular scene unfold, her expression shifting from frivolous to solemn.

Among her three dragons, Rego was the one with the strongest defense, a descendant of the Earth King from the Dragon Knight World—one of the four great Dragon Kings of earth, fire, water, and wind.

Its tough scales, blessed by Mother Earth herself, were impervious even to the world’s sharpest dragon-slaying swords.

With Rego, she had laid waste to the imperial capitals of other countries numerous times; no magic, no matter how terrifying, could breach Rego’s defenses.

But here, she had encountered an exception.

"Godly Sword Commanding Thunder Secret Technique, that’s a secret technique of the Eastern District’s Virtual World, quite interesting.

.." Old Wizard Walter Belli watched the thunder strike with eagerness.

Eastern spells were different from those of Western wizards.

Instead of communicating with spirits and resonating with elements, they issued direct commands, harnessing the energy of heaven and earth for their use.

Utterly unfathomable. That’s how Easterners are, lacking any reverence for heaven, earth, and gods, always with the notion that man conquers nature—complete heretics!

"It’s just as well that Zhang Zhengyuan isn’t here, otherwise your dragon would probably be gone by now."

"Hmph!" The Duchess sneered, "As if Zhang Zhengyuan is alive, you would dare to step up just the same."

Turning to the superhuman, Sabo Star, she said, "Mister Stahl, it’s your turn, isn’t it?"

"Is it still time to hide our strength?" Stahl turned serious for once, "We’ve come this far; you’re afraid Zhang Zhengyuan might be hidden among us, aren’t you?

If we confront him one by one, then we’re truly in for trouble.

Since we are to make our move, let’s do it together.

So what if Zhang Zhengyuan is among them?

We’ve come this far; is there any turning back now? "

"That’s true..." The Duchess nodded slightly at his words, rarely agreeing with him. She stepped forward, and with one swift motion, she slashed her wrist, spilling a lot of blood. The blood seemed alive as it flowed onto the ground, forming vivid runes.

The next second, two earth-shaking dragon roars came from beneath the ground, and the surface churned again as two dragons, as large as Rego, surfaced.

The Duchess mounted one of the dragons, and by now, she, too, was covered in fresh red dragon scales, her aura terrifyingly powerful!

"Tsk..." Stahl greedily glanced at the Duchess once more, thinking how thrilling it must be to have such a powerful woman beneath him.

"Old wizard, if you dare slack off in the back, I’ll rip out your neck!" Stahl said with a cold laugh, shooting the wizard a glance.

Old Wizard Walter Belli gave Stahl a deep look without saying a word.

A wizard’s frontline combat capabilities were not as convenient as the two before him, a fact that had led to the decline of Western Europe District’s status over the years.

However, given some time at the back, a wizard’s destructive power was tremendous.

Ignoring the others, Walter Belli began chanting complex incantations, and the magma brought to the surface by the dragons began to stir as though alive.

The ground softened, and a frightening volcanic eruption brewed, as the energy field it generated triggered alarms in the Central Federation’s side.
