Page 34 of Taken by Moonlight
Alex is a little different. He adores wooing a woman, romancing her. Yeah, I’ve seen him in action when we’ve shared a woman, but I also know he’s good with the gentle side women adore. We love that about our Alex, that after all he’s suffered, he can be tender andgentle.
Me? Forget it. I have a hard side. Prison does that to a wolf. After my pack kicked me out when my folks died, and the mean ass alpha saw me as a threat, I roamed. Got in with a Skin biker gang who wanted a wolf as a mascot. They fed me, taught me to fight dirty in skin, found me females tofuck.
A pack of a different sort. But when they started using young as drug mules, I drew theline.
I ratted them out to the cops. They threw me in the slammer as well. Not with the biker gang, because they knew I’d tear them topieces.
They found out the hard way that wolves are much more dangerous than bikers when I sank my fangs into the flesh of the biker I caught trying to rape a little girl. Even though the skins stunned me to get my wolf off him, it felt real satisfying ripping that asshole’s arm off and listening to himscream.
I made sure the kid was taken care of. Gave her to Kelly. Not one knows that Karen isn’t Kelly’s natural born child, but Kelly has a heart of gold and promised to raise her as her own, until her real mom could befound.
Only my pack know this. I think Peyton would be cool with it if sheknew.
Peyton’s about to know a lot of our secrets, now that Dante’s claimed hervirginity.
I only hope she’s going to accept them, and stick it out for the longrun.
