Page 64 of Serena (Shattered Queens #1)

Iwake up to Serena’s mouth around my cock.

Fuck. Waking up next to her is heaven-sent, but waking up like this is indescribable.

It’s been a couple of days since Serena exacted her revenge.

At first, I was upset that she didn’t include me in her plan, but after she begged for forgiveness, on multiple occasions and in multiple positions, I forgave her.

Damon got rid of Byran Carson's body. She didn’t ask for details. All her demons have been slayed.

“You’re so fucking needy.” She moans in agreement, and it makes her throat vibrate.

“I’m going to give you a morning facial if you keep doing that.

” She moans again, this time deeper. Such a brat.

I hit the back of her throat. I can’t hold on much longer.

Another moan. I grab her hair and pull her off my cock just in time to see my cum painting her face.

“Fucking beautiful.” She licks her lips, tasting my release on her skin.

I push her down onto the mattress and have my breakfast.

Serena heads to work, and I head to my mother’s. She called last night and said she needed to talk to me. I walk into my parents’ home and find Mila talking to my mother.

“Ian, my sweet boy, come and join us.” I see Mila smile as if she’s won. We follow my mother to the office, where my father takes his place behind her. Her protector. There’s a folder in the middle of the desk, with a USB plugged into a monitor.

“What’s going on, Mom?” She slides the envelope to Mila, who opens it. She looks like she’s seen a ghost.

“What the hell is this, Abigail!?” Mila shouts at my mother. My father tenses but doesn’t move.

“They seem to be pictures of you and other men.” My mother turns on the monitor, and she plays a video. The recording is of Mila with a couple of men in a very compromising position. My mother speaks.

“There are plenty more—two years’ worth.”

“Why?”

“Because a mother always protects her children. Don’t test the lengths I will go to protect mine. That includes Serena Nerva. I suggest you drop this infatuation with my son and move on.”

Mila's lip wobbles. “Our families have known each other for years!”

“Yes, we have, Mila. My relationship with your mother is the only reason these aren’t on the front page of the tabloids.

Your father gave up his shares in the media company that Kayde now controls.

I suppose we can thank you for that because without these pictures, I’m sure your father wouldn’t have given them up. ”

Mila drops the envelope and looks at me, but I don’t make eye contact. She walks out of the room. My father bends to kiss my mother.

She turns to me. “Here.” She hands me the USB. “It’s your insurance. I thought that she’d have given up when you caught her.” She pulls out a phone and slides it to me. “The last time I used it was the day I sent you a location and time.” What the fuck?

“It was you?”

My dad grins. “Isn’t she amazing?”

It takes me a minute to put everything together. “I thought you wanted us to marry.” She looks to my father, then back at me.

“I can’t deny, it was a great business deal, but I don’t want you to be miserable for the rest of your life. I thought you might grow to care for her one day. You two do have history.”

I internally vomit.

“When I got my diagnosis, I realized how wrong I was about so many things. I had Mila followed. She has always been a loose cannon. Just like her mother. We want the best for you. The best is Serena.”

“Mom, I love her.”

“I know you do, my sweet boy. I also know you both enjoy certain extracurricular activities.” My mother laughs. How does she know?

“How do you know?” My father looks at my mom with a sparkle in his eyes.

“Tell him. I can’t wait to see the look on his face.”

“When Serena was at the hospital, I told her to call me if she needed help. So, she did. I arranged for her to meet Damon, who would provide a sedative. Isaac and he would then pick up whoever when she was ready.” What the fuck is going on with the women in my life?

“Yup, there’s the face.” Dad laughs. “Love, you might as well tell him the rest.”

“What does he mean, Mom?”

“He means that I saw the moment you laid eyes on Serena Nerva. It was during Theo and Elias Lobo’s wedding.

I recognized that look. It’s the same one I had when I first laid eyes on your father.

So, I came up with a plan. I bought two companies.

Well, your father did. One where she worked and the other not.

There would be one outcome. One, you would pursue Serena, or two, you would just run the company as you did the other. I knew it’d be the former.

Your father was very impressed by her interview. He hired her solely based on her own merits. I sent him to check on the two of you.”

That explains the impromptu visit from my father.

“I knew your mother was right. She always is, but what I saw that day. Son, you couldn’t take your eyes off Serena. It’s as if no one exists but her. A feeling I understand.” My father looks at my mother.

“Dad, you’re right, she is what I never thought I deserved.”

“Mom, you know that I’d still find Serena, regardless of whether I worked with her or not.”

“I know, my sweet boy. I also know that it won't be an easy road for her, but what she did may have helped. Be happy.” She gets up and hugs me tight.
