“It’s good, though?” Aidan asked when Levi gave a particularly throaty moan. He’d said he wanted to hear, and it felt damn good. Levi figured there was no point in holding back.
“Fuck yeah,” Levi said and muttered another fuck under his breath as Aidan slipped more of him into his mouth. He wasn’t small, but Aidan didn’t seem intimidated. Instead, his confidence seemed to grow.
And it turned out that was incredibly sexy. Already riding the edge, Levi knew he wasn’t going to last very long.
Then Aidan rolled his balls in one hand, thumb brushing up the back, and Levi knew he was going to come very soon.
“I . . .” he gasped out. “Yes. Please.”
“I got you,” Aidan repeated, dark blue eyes intent and serious, and Levi had the insane and wild realization that he’d follow this man anywhere.
Onto any football field. Into any sexual exploration he was even remotely into.
Into the depths of hell. Aidan only needed to say they had to go, and Levi would go.
It was that thought that tipped him over.
His orgasm fell onto his thighs, his abs, and Aidan worked him through it as Levi panted.
If that look in Aidan’s eyes as he came wasn’t overwhelming enough, after he’d finally wrung every bit of pleasure out of Levi’s body, he tugged his T-shirt off and used it to wipe up the mess.
Tossing the dirty shirt in the direction of his bedroom, Aidan lifted himself up and slumped down on the couch next to Levi.
They weren’t cuddling necessarily but they weren’t not cuddling either.
They had good post-nut vibes, Levi decided.
“Bro, that was crazy,” Levi said, more to fill the silence than because it had been.
It had sort of been the opposite, actually.
Maybe the most inevitable hookup of all time.
Levi had imagined this attraction had come out of nowhere, when they’d been in Michigan together, but now he was beginning to think maybe not.
Not for him, anyway.
Aidan’s gaze slid over to him. His bare chest was still golden brown from the summer, his skin looking like it was lit from within.
“Was it though?” Aidan asked.
Levi shrugged. Aidan kept his secrets, and Levi was going to keep a few of his own, too. Aidan didn’t need to know how deeply attracted he was. Not when Aidan had literally started them down this road by telling him he was in love with someone else.
“I guess,” Aidan said with a sudden, fierce grin, “I should at least be grateful you didn’t call me bro while we were doing . . .um . . .that.”
“You asked me not to.”
“Yeah, well, I didn’t think you’d actually listen,” Aidan teased. And that was new too. The Aidan teasing part.
“Maybe next time,” Levi said. With the proper motivation, he could be a little bit of a brat. Aidan might enjoy that. There were so many things Aidan might enjoy, honestly, and Levi had half a mind to try them all.
There was no reason they couldn’t. Mo wasn’t going to magically fall in love with Aidan now and Levi didn’t have interest in hooking up with anyone else in Toronto.
Even though he’d come here with the assumption he and Aidan weren’t going to be making good on their sex pact anytime soon, he’d had trouble imagining anyone else in his bed.
“There’s gonna be a next time?” Aidan sounded hopeful.
Levi raised an eyebrow. “You want there to be?” He didn’t think there was a question—it was obvious Aidan had enjoyed it—but he thought it was good to make sure they were on the same page.
“Obviously,” Aidan said wryly, a shy sort of smile emerging onto his face.
It made him look younger. A little vulnerable. It occurred to Levi that he didn’t hear much from Landry about Aidan hooking up. Or that he’d had more than a series of casual, not-serious girlfriends.
Obviously he’d been caught up in Mo for awhile, but even before that had probably materialized, Aidan hadn’t exactly gotten around, even though he very much could’ve.
“I just want to make sure you’re getting your needs met,” Levi said.
“Trust me, they’re met. Exceeded?” Aidan looked like he was actually considering this. “I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed sex that much.”
Levi realized then that he hadn’t been considering anything—except if he should tell Levi the truth about it.
It shouldn’t have made Levi like him even more but there was no question about it: getting to see a faint glimmer of Aidan Flynn’s sensitive side made him hotter for the guy than ever.
“You’re welcome,” Levi said, keeping his voice light. He didn’t need an Aidan Flynn manual to know if he got too serious, it would freak the guy out.
Aidan nudged him with an elbow but didn’t move it after, like once they’d been touching in another place, he realized how much he liked it.
“I guess you being a little smug about being able to suck a dick that good isn’t the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever done.
” He sounded sleepy and relaxed. And happy.
Levi would suck his dick every single day if he never got that painfully uptight edge to his voice. That pained look in his eyes that said nothing is going right and I can’t do anything about it.
“Not even close, bro.” He paused. “And thanks.”
He considered telling Aidan that he hadn’t even pulled out any tricks yet.
That, properly motivated, he could do a hell of a lot better.
But he was still unpacking that Aidan had been essentially overwhelmed by the bare minimum and Levi wasn’t ready to bring that up yet.
At least not until he could wrap his head around that fact better.
Aidan hummed. He hadn’t made any move to get dressed or even to pull his shorts back up. But then he had absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. He probably wanted Levi to look, and Levi was sure as hell looking.
“You ever gonna tell me what had you so freaked out earlier?” Levi asked.
Aidan sighed, clearly resigned. “You don’t want to get on Zane’s bad side.”
Levi was undeniably relaxed. But he still half tensed up. “You know this from prior experience?”
“Not from Zane, though he has an ego, like these dudes always do,” Aidan said.
Then frowned. “Back in Michigan, I had an offensive coordinator try to remove me from QB1 just because I wasn’t his favored choice or whatever.
The guy he’d personally recruited. I was better than that guy.
Could throw circles around him. But that didn’t matter.
I only barely held on to my starting spot.
” Aidan looked over at him. There was worry and affection in Aidan’s blue eyes. “I don’t want that to be you.”
“You don’t know that it will,” Levi said.
“I still don’t want it to be you,” Aidan stressed again.
“And I still don’t want you to spend the next twenty-some-odd weeks with your ass on the turf, running for your fucking life,” Levi said. “You think we’re gonna win games like that? Let me piss Zane off now. He’s gonna be glad we made the change by week three when you’re lighting up defenses.”
Aidan made a frustrated noise. “You assume we’re gonna do that.”
That feeling, the one he’d had fifteen minutes ago, when he’d looked at Aidan, who’d just said, I got you, and he’d known Aidan did, no questions, no hesitation, nothing, was back. But even stronger this time.
“You still Aidan Flynn?” Levi asked.
“Yes.” Aidan’s reply was cautious. Confused.
“Then we’re gonna do that,” Levi said. Case closed.
