He scowls.
I wag my finger. “Edging, remember?”
He glances at Ezra. “This was a terrible idea.”
Ezra’s eyes are warm on me. “I don’t know about that,” he murmurs, watching as I take on Maddox next. “She’s enjoying herself.”
Maddox tips his head as if to ask if I am.
“A bit,” I confess, plopping into his lap, having a moment of déjà vu from the night I went for the interview. Only then I didn’t know they’d be courting me. Not that it stopped me from grinding over him. I straddle Maddox, pull his head so his head tips back, and brush my lips over his neck as I writhe in his lap.
Maddox’s purr makes me grin. “That’s right, kitty, let me hear how much you want to fuck me.” I bite his throat and his palm cracks on my ass. My hips surge forward, and both of us groan.
“What the hell?!” A voice breaks the moment. “Oh my god. I can smell what you’re doing! You can’t be in here doing that!” the shrill woman shouts. “I’m calling security.”
Scrambling off Maddox, I quickly shove a few options into the bags I brought and tug on my clothes as my heart slams against my ribcage. I glance at the guys, a wide smile cutting across my face. “Time to go.”
The pack shoots to their feet, falls in beside me, and the four of us rush out of Saks Fifth Avenue like the devil is chasing us, and as we run together, my heart soars through the sky. They might’ve been edging me, but today was a good day.
Me, my pack, and a handful of crimes.

MADDOX
Waiting for a certain omega to fall asleep so I can sneak into her apartment and watch her is the highlight of my week. Hazel knows exactly what we’re doing. We aren’t exactly hiding it. There are faint traces of Kill and Ezra when I step inside, touches of their scents, and yet, as hard as she tries to stay up to catch us, eventually, she falls asleep.
One of these days, I might have to come in while she’s awake to see how she’d react. How her eyes would widen in surprise, maybe a touch of fear, before she realizes it’s me. Then I’d see about having her on her knees for me again.
Fuck. The fitting room incident has been haunting me. Every perfect sway of her hips as she crawled for us, owning the power of the moment, somehow wrenching the control from us.
The idea was to edge her, work her up so that she needs us, but she turned the tables and made us all the more desperate to have her.
Breathing in her mouthwatering strawberry scent, I stride to where she sleeps, gazing down at my omega. I like that she’s not worried about what we’ll do to her, that we’ve proven ourselvestrustworthy in such a short amount of time. That’s likely partly due to the desire to bond we’re all dancing around.
Sinking to my knees in front of her, I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, lightly marking her with my scent, studying the slope of her nose, her soft lips. I pull my hand away, averting my gaze before I do something stupid like kiss her.
If I wake her up, I’m not leaving until she’s on my knot, and with her sister in the next room, that wouldn’t be good. Lottie seems fairly levelheaded for a moody teenager, but catching her sister riding dick might fuck up the whole thing.
“Soon though, sunshine,” I murmur. Street light filters through her curtains, and I watch the shadows dance across her features. To think Tristan almost fucked this up too.
I’m glad Hazel told us. It doesn’t change my pack’s mind. We were being honest when we said we still wanted to court her. I had a moment where I worried Tristan sent her to spy on us, but she’s right. If she knew Tristan, there’s no way she’d continue to let Lottie live in this dump.
She has limited social media presence, but what she does post is all about her sister. Every single post. My omega has spent her life making sure Lottie is taken care of, but no one has ever taken care of her.
“We’re going to change that,” I tell her, marking her with my scent three more times and rising, snapping a picture for the guys before wandering around the small space she calls home.
The edge of a blanket peeks out from under an accordion door. Tipping my head, I quietly walk toward it and slide it open. A blast of strawberry scent slams into me, but my eyes narrow as I take in what might be the world’s smallest nest.
Thisis my omega’s nest? No. This won’t do. This won’t do at all.
Worn blankets. Dumpy pillows. How does she even stretch out? A growl builds in the back of my throat, but then my gazecatches on the T-shirts Hazel stole from us. A grin pulls at my lips. Reaching up, I tug off the shirt I’m wearing and add it to the pile, glaring at the tiny box of a nest and vowing that she’ll have a better one before her next heat.
If anyone deserves a good nest, it’s my omega.
And our pack is going to give it to her.
I arrive home to Kill and Ezra scowling at the screen. Ezra glances at me, eyebrows lifting.
