Page 42 of Ondine, Vol. 2 (Cash City Omegaverse)
Helicopter Tour
Arnie
T hese alphas are all struck dumb with Ondine’s lust flooding their new bond. I’m the only one with their head on straight. And this is what I’m here for.
“Sebastian,” I shout. He turns to me. “She hasn’t eaten in who knows how long. Get your dick out and feed her your cum. She’ll do all the work.”
Ondine whimpers at my words. She looks up at me like I’m her savior.
“Jake, you just bonded her. Now give her your knot.”
I know he doesn’t like being told what to do, but even he can’t deny this from her. I’d like to position them as well, but I think Jake would draw the line there.
Jake flips Ondine onto her hands and knees. The bed is firm, and she’s able to get a good footing. Jake puts his mouth on her pussy from behind and gets her very ready for his knot.
Sebastian climbs up to her face. She’s grabbing at him and pulling him to her.
“What about the rest of us?” Freddie whispers in my ear and it startles me. He’s making fun of my “room manager” role, but I don’t take the bait.
“Tell her how good she’s done. How much you wanted her to bond with the rest of the alphas. She’s going to need your reassurance everything is ok.”
Jake’s fucks Ondine while she sucks Sebastian off like she’s never wanted anything more. Freddie does exactly what I tell him and uses his words. He tells her how good she did. How much he wanted this. How beautiful she looks.
Their sex is loud and so fucking hot.
Shadow has put on some clothes. But he’s just in a shirt and underwear. We are both very hard.
He gives me a knowing look. I was the only one who shouted it was Boone. But they didn’t believe me. Not one of them. But I didn’t know Man-ho. I didn’t know Tina Wong.
I know alphas.
And I’ve never seen an alpha who’d been allowed this close to a pack, allowed to attempt to court their omega, and then just walk away.
His courting had nothing to do with Ondine. It was always about power and position. Which is worse when denied. He had gone to Jake to ask to bond. He’d gone to Sebastian to seduce him.
He didn’t actually do a thing for Ondine.
No wonder she rejected him.
Ever since she rejected him, I’d been surveilling him. I’d used a couple guys from Meier Protections to follow him around and take footage and pictures. They’d spotted him buying drugs from some shady channels. Hormones. Uppers. Tranqs. I didn’t check in on their work until she was taken.
Tina Wong told her sons she found out Ondine was under the handler-ship of Boone. That’s when we put everything together and had proof.
Sebastian was devastated.
That was his friend.
We tore apart his office. His apartment. Finally, Jake called Boone’s father. Found out Boone had been back home at Sixthwater Ridge.
Boone is now one ear short and we’ve taken Ondine back. He’s probably not going to stay down for long.
I grab Shadow (and my pants) and we leave the room.
“We have to secure the house.”
“Why?”
We are in the hallway and he closes the door to Jake’s childhood bedroom.
“You don’t think Boone won’t come after us? He’s a crazy mother fucker who got his ear torn off by an omega. Our car is out front. Come on, Shadow, don’t make me lose it on you.”
He stops me.
And then laughs.
“Oh, sweet little beta. While I appreciate the hustle, Boone is not coming after us.”
I shake my head. “He won’t stop, Shadow. They never do.”
He puts his hands on my shoulders.
“Take a deep breath while I tell you something. Ok?”
I didn’t think I was breathing wrong, but I do it anyway. I take a deep breath and give him my attention.
“Freddie and I have unusually powerful alpha barks. Freddie could stop his own father in his tracks when he was a kid. By 13, his influence could last hours. It’s what makes him so dangerous as a feral alpha. When he told Boone to sleep he pushed so much into the command, Boone may never wake up.”
“I’m sorry. What?”
“Boone is basically in a coma. And he’ll remain that way until Freddie decides to wake him up.”
“That’s not real.”
Shadow gives me a minute to process.
I’m dumbfounded. A man with that kind of power shouldn’t even exist. He should be…hiding in a monastery in the mountains, meditating all day. Oh my god.
“Is Boone just laying on his basement floor bleeding out?”
“I’d prefer it that way. But no. Jake had Boone’s father call an ambulance before we even got Ondine out.”
And they will patch him up, but not be able to wake him. My god.
“Does it work on betas?”
“Mine doesn’t. His may. That would be surprising.”
“Still, Freddie could do a lot of damage in this world. Especially if he wanted power.”
“If he wanted power.”
My imagination takes over. Freddie could influence any alpha or omega he came across to do anything. He could kill, manipulate, or destroy anyone for anything. He’d always get his way.
“I was actually worried about being in a pack with him.”
“Cause he’s scary?”
Shadow pats me on the arm. Solidarity.
Ondine cries out in pleasure. I look around the house and decide we are safe enough. Especially with Freddie on our side.
“But don’t worry. For whatever reason, his bark doesn’t work on Ondine.”
God.
That’s good.
The corners of Shadow’s mouth kick up.
I can’t help but ask, “Why is Jake pack lead if Freddie is so…whatever he is.”
Shadow lets out a deep sigh.
“Freddie was on his own for 20 years, but look at what he accomplished in the few weeks he submitted to Jake. He got his scent match. A pack. And is saving all those kids from that school. He has a purpose. He’s running a special division.
He has friends, you and Sebastian. Look at what Jake’s done for you, Arnie.
Left to your own devices, you just stared at Ondine from afar.
How long was that supposed to last? He’s brought you two together.
Given you a better career. A better purpose.
He’s encouraged you to be as freaky and weird as you can be.
I’ve seen how you sneak away to your little spy center whenever someone is alone with Ondine. ”
My mouth hangs open. Shadow sees he’s shocked me for the second time. He pats my arm again.
“Want to go back in?”
I turn my head to the door and listen. “Hopefully, Jake’s knot will knock her out.
We will need to get her to her nest. Her heat is next to come if she’s just had a spike.
I’d like her to be comfortable. It’s a long drive, we may not make it.
Eight hours to the country house? We better get a move on. ”
He nods his head.
“Good thing my brother has a helicopter.”
Jake
Ondine sleeps the whole way home. I hold her in my arms, keeping her safe, and watching her sleepy little breaths.
The helicopter ride is faster than driving but still not quick, but flying over the country with my new pack is an experience I’ll never forget.
Arnie is friends with Shadow now, and I love watching the two of them bending their heads together.
Asking questions, talking about our pack.
Freddie keeps getting too close to Sebastian.
During Ondine’s heat spike, if Freddie got too close, Ondine would make this adorable little growl.
It was hard to take it seriously. We all found it too precious.
We land in the field by the house about two hours after we left the Ridge. And that’s when I decide a helicopter pad should be on my list of renovations on the property.
Arnie was the only one of us who had his head on straight when Ondine went missing. He suspected Boone right away. He’d already been gathering intel on him. Of course, the beta would suspect the alpha who had been rejected. We were all just too close to see it.
Because of that he was the most prepared. He’d already got Robin to help him set up the nest. Emmerson and some other staff to pack and move our things. He hadn’t slept the last two nights while he installed all the surveillance. He’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.
Ondine chooses well.
Maybe I’ll let him play his little breeder game with her during her heat.
We file into the house, and I carry Ondine all the way to her nest. It’s this spectacular arched room cut off from the rest of the house. It’s big enough for everyone. It doesn’t have any scents in it yet, but that should change soon. I lay her down in the bed.
“Don’t mess with any of the things. She’ll wake and set up her nest. Then she’ll want our appreciation of her work when she’s done. Ok?” It’s not the Room Manager who says this to me but Shadow. A now self-described omega expert.
I just give him a look, like who the hell are you? And his mouth quarks up at me in reply.
I turn to see the rest of my pack.
“Do we know what he gave her?”
Arnie replies, “A number of things. Heat suppressant was one of them. There’s no way to know what dosage.”
I nod my head. We will just have to monitor her.
None of us want to leave, anyway.
I position her more comfortably and lay between her legs. She’s wearing my old clothes from my childhood bedroom. Basketball shorts and a t-shirt that says “Excellent Pecker” with a graphic of a rooster. Because I was a teenage boy once.
I pull her shorts off but leave her shirt. Because it’s kind of funny.
I lay my cheek on her thigh, next to my bond mark. It’s so pretty. I bit Arnie on the back of his neck. Shadow on his collarbone. And Sebastian on his shoulder. I look up and Freddie’s looking back. I should bite him, too. He narrows his eyes at me, seeming to know where my thoughts are.
Arnie tells the alphas to get into the bed. They listen as he positions everyone in a perfect little dog pile. He knows not to tell me what to do, so I remain with her legs entwined around me.
And then we all fall asleep surrounding our omega.
Like a pack should.
