Matchbox
Sebastian
Ondine’s heat is almost here. We’ve been living together for a few weeks and despite the house feeling like a matchbox in size, it’s been great.
Freddie and Arnie bunk up in one room (along with Killer), and Ondine rotates which bed she sleeps in.
No one is left out, not even Shadow. The house feels a bit crowded, but it just means we all get a chance to be nearer to her.
She’s getting more and more possessive over me. And I don’t mind at all. Freddie gets awfully close to me though. And I’m not sure if it’s just to rile up Ondine or because he is truly into me.
He’s harmless though.
But we will see what happens during Ondine’s heat.
We all know it’s coming because her scent is absolutely pure.
Jake is on the phone with someone even though it’s barely 7:00 am. I’m up preparing a big breakfast. I want Ondine to get one good meal in before her heat. She is currently sleeping with the beta.
Freddie sits at the counter eating grapes and staring at me with unsettling wistful eyes.
Shadow trails Jake, and I think they were in the same bed last night.
I put some bowls and things in the sink. The sound of someone inhaling deep through their nose pushes me out of my thoughts. It’s Freddie, right near my neck.
“Good god Freddie, do you have any boundaries?”
“Not with you,” he purrs.
“Ondine is going to kill you,” Shadow sing-songs.
Freddie rolls his eyes, but still backs away.
Jake gets off the phone and turns to us.
“That’s the contractor. Expanding this place is going to be a nightmare.
We can’t get it all done between heats. But I can’t see it working out to have builders here, or a half finished house, during Ondine’s heat.
Arnold told me her heat may be up to five days now that she’s off most of those meds. ”
Yeah, we need more space that’s for sure. Even Killer has been spending most of her time outside. Freddie seems to love it, but Shadow and I are used to some alone time. This has been a fine space these last five years with the three of us. Six is a big change.
“Five days?” Shadow asks.
“Yeah, so we need to have a system. A plan. Supplies.”
I have to ask, “What is our plan?”
“As far as bonding her, you mean? I plan on biting her. I’m sure it’ll be strong enough to unite us.”
“I can always bite Sabbies to strengthen the bond,” Freddie offers casually. We all turn to face him. He adds, “If Ondine is ok with it. I’d like to chomp into you, you orange delight.”
He snaps his teeth at me and I roll my eyes.
“Ok, well that’s on the table I guess. Shadow and I would like to fuck her together. Arnie and me would be a good combination as well.” Jake starts brainstorming, and also clearly getting turned on.
“I don’t want to make it like last time,” Shadow says. “Where it was just about fucking. In the stuff I read, cuddling, massaging, and burrowing are important too. We will need to be washing the sheets and blankets. Giving her water. Offering food if she’ll take it.”
I forgot that Shadow is a self-studied omega expert. It’s actually awesome.
“Dog piling,” he adds.
“Like all sleeping together?”
“Yeah, it’ll strengthen the bond too. As much as we can we need to all be together.”
Freddie asks, “Can we all fit in the nest?”
We look upstairs at the same time. It’ll be cramped.
Jake growls. But then he grabs Shadow’s arm and pulls him close.
I always had a feeling Jake was a needy, touchy thing even though he kept his distance with us alphas.
I could feel the sparkle of desire from him as it dissipated like a little weak bubble from time to time.
It didn’t make sense to me until lately.
When I feel that sparkling now, it’s followed by reaching out to Ondine or Shadow for something like a kiss or a hug.
He’s been starving.
Shadow loves the attention. His dark gray cloud of anxious depression that used to suffocate the bond is gone. He smells so much better. His skin is lit up. He tells jokes.
I’ve never seen this Shadow before.
“I’ll keep working on this issue. Come now. I have a great idea for a multi-cock situation with Ondine,” Jake announces to the room and drags Shadow away and up the stairs towards the guest room.
Thankfully it’s no longer furnished by a trundle bed but two large, brand new beds.
And I guess it’s not a guest room. It’s Freddie and Arnie’s room.
Though I’ve heard them bickering a few times since the room is pretty small, I’m guessing they don’t have a lot of personal space.
I turn to the oven where cinnamon rolls are baking. Hopefully Ondine will get one that’s hot. They may be up there a while. Freddie inches closer to me again.
“Freddie, I swear to god, Ondine is going to cut out your eyeballs if you get any closer. Yesterday she growled at Jake when he was in the laundry room with me.”
Freddie isn’t phased. “We will see.”
I’m rendered dumb. I suppose he’s right.
The rolls come out of the oven a little later and only Freddie and I get them hot.
He comes with me to some work meetings after.
He needs help with his special project. We’ve been smuggling burner phones, snacks, and toiletries to the Man-ho school.
We’ve also taken two more boys up to the monastery in the dead of night.
After we work for a bit, we head to the flower shop to buy Ondine a nice gift for her heat. My sisters would pull my hair out if I didn’t get Ondine something nice. Omegas love gifts.
We load the truck with two large bouquets and a little garden statue of a mermaid. I don’t know why but it reminded me of her.
