Miles

HE WAS contemplating whether anyone would notice if he took a nap. The professor wouldn’t. He was droning on and on, and none of that information was making its way into his brain. They were halfway through the business management class, and he was already drained from a long day.

His phone buzzed on the table in front of him, and he reached for it. He opened the text and swallowed back a startled gasp. He bit the top of his hand to stifle the sounds he would’ve no doubt made if he’d been alone, or even better, with Kaz.

“Are you sexting in class?”

Ezra leaned in to look at Miles’s phone, catching a glimpse of the picture Kaz had sent him of his very hard cock.

“Nice dick,” Ezra said with an approving nod, then started reading the accompanying text message, “I want to get on my knees for―”

Miles shushed him.

“Don’t even,” he whispered, gaze shooting toward the professor .

“Who’s it belong to? Have I met him?”

He was saved from answering when the professor ended the class early, and everybody got up to leave. He hurried to shove his laptop into his bag and took off down the steps.

Ezra wasn’t swayed so easily.

“Don’t tell me he’s a professor or something? You’re not exactly the scandalous type,” Ezra said, Miles cringing when they got some curious looks as they walked down the hallway.

“He’s not,” he hissed, glaring at Ezra.

Ezra shrugged, his smile wide and oh so fucking annoying.

They stepped out of the main entrance and headed across campus. He glanced at Ezra, groaning when he found that smile still plastered on his face.

“You haven’t met him.”

It wasn’t a lie, though it wasn’t exactly a confession, either.

“You think that’s gonna stop me from finding out?” Ezra asked, his smile turning downright wicked.

Ezra was a genius when it came to computers. He could probably hack into his phone and track down Kaz just by his number.

He sighed. “His name’s Kaz.”

“Kaz?” Ezra chuckled. “What are the odds of you meeting another guy with that name?”

Miles blinked, his steps faltering.

Ezra came to a stop next to him, his smile falling as his eyes widened. “Are you out of your mind? ”

A groan pushed past Miles’s lips. “Possibly?”

“What the hell, Miles? The guy who’s been bullying you since you were what? Thirteen? You’re fucking him now?”

“I know it seems crazy―”

“It’s diabolical.”

His brows lowered, and he stared at Ezra until his friend threw his hands up.

“You used to hit this guy in the face because he provoked you into it. He has to be a real special kind of fucked up to make you resort to violence. You’re the most level-headed guy I know.”

“I…”

What could he even say to that? Ezra wasn’t wrong.

He wasn’t wrong at all, but he also didn’t know Kaz.

Not the Kaz who’d listened and waited for him to make the first move when he’d needed it.

The Kaz whounderstood him like no one else.

The Kaz who kissed him like he was the very air he needed to breathe.

Ezra didn’t know why Kaz had bullied him. That it had been Kaz’s way to get his attention. Was it the absolute worst way of going about it? Yeah. He wouldn’t dispute that, but Kaz was more than the sum of his bad decisions.

Kaz made him smile and feel at ease like no one else.

Kaz made him feel things he’d never felt before.

Made him want things he hadn’t known he would ever want.

Kaz had always been able to get under his skin, but now?

It was like Kaz had burrowed his way inside him, and the past few weeks without him had been torture .

The thing he missed the most was the way Kaz looked at him.

Not just because he saw him, but the way he never hid how much he wanted him.

It was always right there in his eyes. When Kaz looked at him like that, he felt sexy and wanted.

There was nothing fake about it. There was nothing wrong about it.

Nothing had ever felt more right than letting Kaz into his life.

“I like Kaz.”

Ezra looked at him as if he’d grown an extra head, and he sighed loudly.

“I know it’s kinda fucked up, but we’re both adults now. We’ve let go of the past.”

“It’s because the sex is great, isn’t it?” Ezra asked with a deadpan expression.

Miles snorted out a laugh and wrapped an arm around Ezra’s shoulders, tugging him along as he started walking again.

“Never had better sex in my life.”

Ezra shook his head with a sigh and met Miles’s gaze, a smile spreading on his face. “You’re lucky I support gay rights and wrongs.”

He smirked at Ezra and pulled out his phone to find a picture of Kaz. He didn’t have a lot, and most of them were definitely not safe for work, but he’d taken a picture on one of their motorcycle rides of Kaz leaning against his bike, helmet and gloves off, and a sexy-as-hell smile on his lips.

Ezra was bi and mostly into women, but he dabbled, and Miles wasn’t surprised that Ezra made a choking sound when he showed him the picture.

“Holy fuck,” Ezra croaked out, grabbing the phone out of Miles’s hand to zoom in on the picture. “I get it. Fully supporting your wrongs, man. Not that it’s hard to do when your wrongs look like that.”

“I know, right?”

Kaz was fucking gorgeous.

Ezra handed him back the phone with a teasing smile.

“I’ll be here to pick you back up when he inevitably breaks your heart,” Ezra said with a gleam in his eyes, and Miles bumped his shoulder with a laugh. He doubted very much that would be necessary.
