He hooks his hands around the backs of my thighs and hoists me up so that my legs are securely around his waist.

“Where are you going?” I mumble against his lips as he bypasses the bed, heading into the bathroom.

“Bathtub.”

I pull back enough to see that the bathtub is filled with water. It’s adjacent to the long window, overlooking the beautiful sky-high buildings of the city. The sun is sinking into the horizon, casting a stunning orange glow across the sky in vibrant streaks. Gently, he lowers me. He kicks off his pants and I suck in a sharp breath at the sight of his bareness.

Tanned, smooth, and tightly packed with muscle. His body is a masterpiece.

I peel off my scrubs and twist my hair into a knot on the top of my head. His eyes possessively rake over my body as he drinks in every inch of me.

“Thank you,” I whisper. “For making this weekend better than I could have ever imagined.”

He strides forward and gathers my hands in his.

“You gave me a second chance. I won’t mess it up this time.”

Leaning forward, I press my chest against his as I kiss down the base of his throat. My mouth trails over his chest and down his abs. I kiss across his pelvic bone and I pause.

Softly, I trace my fingers over the letters.

“What is this?” I whisper.

“A date.”

“What date?”

I sink onto my knees, peering up at him. He stares down at me. His Adam’s Apple bobs up and down.

“I think you know.”

“My birthdate.”

Slowly, he nods. “Yes.”

Liquid fire blazes through my veins as our gazes lock.

“You got my birth date tattooed on you.”

“You’re it for me, Josie. I’ve always told you that.”

With my heart thundering in my chest, I keep my eyes on his as I move towards him, circling my lips around him. He hisses, his fingers sinking into my hair.

“That is so fucking hot,” I murmur against him, my tongue sliding over his length.

“I won’t last one more second if you do that with your tongue again,” he pants. “And I have a whole lot planned for you.”

Teasingly, I circle around the tip one final time before I stand.

He steps into the tub, pulling me with him. I can feel how ready I am and he hasn’t even touched me. I place my knees either side of his thighs and slowly sink down onto him.

A deep, throaty groan emits from him as I take him deeper. One hand finds my waist, the other slides up my neck, bracketing my throat. Desire burns inside me as his fingers tighten. I never knew that would be such a turn on.

I grind against him, shifting my hips, feeling him plunge deep inside of me. He groans again, throwing his head back. He looks delicious as his eyes flutter closed. His lips part as he mouths filthy words. I ride him quicker now and water splashes over the sides of the tub. His hand squeezes against my throat, only making me go faster with need.

This feels so damn good.
