“Damn, Nova.” He eased his hand from my shorts and slipped it into his mouth. “Good shit.”

I smiled. “I can’t believe you.”

“What?”

“You weren’t going to let us leave, huh?”

“Nah, we’re here for a reason. But I definitely wanted to make you cum first.”

“I see. I hope you’re keeping that same energy for later?”

“Oh, we’re both going to cum later. Don’t even worry about that.”

Tossing my head back, I laughed. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too, baby.”

With his arms still holding me, he stood up from the chair. “Let me get someone in here, so I can get you some fresh snacks. We’ve got a movie to watch.”

My eyes glittered as he dialed a number on his phone to tell the people at the front what I wanted.

This man was everything.

I’d been through so much, and for a long time, I allowed fear to make me run from so many things. But, now, I had finally stopped running. I didn’t just choose myself this time. I chose love, and that gave me peace.

“Hey, babe,” Don said, pulling me from my thoughts. “You want to sit down here, or go to the top?”

“The top,” I replied. “I get the feeling I’m going to have to climb on you one more time.”

“Oh, is that right?”

“Most definitely.”

“Well, to the top we go.”

I laughed and followed him up the short stairway.

Suddenly, my heart started beating fast, and I could barely contain the thoughts that were running through my head.

Clearing my throat, I tugged on his hand a little and said, “So, about this whole wedding thing…”

He stopped and then turned around to look at me. “What about it?”

“I think I’ll be okay with a really small, intimate one. Like, so small that it’s just our immediate family and extremely close friends.”

Not holding back, his lips spread into the biggest smile I’d ever seen. Then, he pulled me towards him, and said, “With you, that’s all I need.”

I lowered his face to mine and kissed him softly. “Good to know, Don Desaun. Good to know.”
