Page 143 of Logan
I close my eyes and then open them. She’s still there. Stillwaiting for me. Still mine. A fierce surge of possessiveness and adoration rushes through me.
And she’ll be mine forever because I will never give up on her.
Noticing my gaze, she lifts her face, a radiant smile unfolding. My heart swells, arresting my breath.
This is what love feels like.
I never thought it could be like this, that I could feel this way. I’m ready to kill for this woman. I’m ready to give my life for her.
I leave the clinic, holding her in my arms and kissing her as if my life depends on it because that’s how I feel. I can’t breathe without her.
Desperation fills my kiss as I pour all my love and longing into the heated press of my lips against hers. She kisses me back, our tongues intertwining, her hard nipples grazing my body as I grab her hips and lift her, pressing her closer.
Desire pulses hot and heavy through my veins. I groan into her mouth, my body reacting to her touch.
The limousine arrives and stops near us. I see it approaching, the sleek black vehicle gleaming under the sun, but I’m still not ready to break our kiss until Sloane pushes me off her. I pull back, my breath ragged.
“Wow.” Sloane opens her mouth wide, looking around and examining the interior of the limo. Her eyes sparkle with delight as she takes in the lush leather seats and gleaming fixtures.
“What’s the destination?” the driver asks after we settle in.
“Drive until I tell you to stop.”
He grunts, and a smile creeps at the corner of his mouth. I press the button that closes the partition between us.
Sloane’s excitement peaks as she discovers champagne.
“If I’d known this would impress you, I’d have brought more,” I joke, pouring her a glass.
She laughs and takes a sip. “Is it that obvious it’s my first time in a limo?”
In response, I dim the lights to a soft purple glow, enchanting us with a surreal ambiance.
She examines her arms, now bathed in purple light. “So this is where those stories about purple aliens come from,” she muses, a playful tilt to her voice.
Intrigued, I raise an eyebrow. “Romantic books about purple aliens?”
“Of course. Vampires, monsters, shape-shifters, fairies, and even aliens.”
I’m torn between letting her explore and indulge in her excitement of something new and wanting her right now.
The limousine hits a pothole in the road, and Sloane, just in the middle of a sip of champagne, finds herself with champagne dribbling down her center and onto her chest.
I follow a drop of the glistening liquid flowing down into the valley between her breasts. When I lift my gaze back to her face, she looks...fascinated.
“Sloane?”
“Fuck, Logan, when you look at me like that, like I’m the solution to world hunger or something, you make me feel…”
“Yes?” I lean in, running my tongue over her neck and tasting the champagne on her skin.
She shivers. “Sexy.”
My tongue traces the path of the champagne on her body. I lean in close, my breath hot against her skin as I drag my tongue along the glistening trail. I lick, move down betweenher breasts, and remove the straps of her dress, pulling it down until her splendid tits are exposed to my eyes.
My lips curve into a wicked smile as I take in the glorious sight before me. “You should be outlawed,” I growl, my voice rough with desire. “But then I’d be a criminal because I can’t stay away.”
“I don’t want you to stay away.” She places the glass aside and lies back on the seat. “I want you as close as possible, deep inside me.”
