Jules

Thank you, God, foranswering my prayers.

“On second thought, I changed my mind,” Levi says.

Disappointment washes over me.

I pull away from him. “What do you mean?” I ask, my heart thundering.

“You’ve dealt with enough for one day. Let’s talk about something other than business.”

“You’re not going to help me?”

He shakes his head. “That’s not what I said. I want to know everything there is to know about your dad’s business, but not right now.”

“Um... okay.” I’m not sure where he’s going with this.

“Let me help youforgettonight. We can talk about business tomorrow morning. Feeling your body against mine makes me crave more. I want a repeat of Saturday night, Jules. You robbed me of that when you left in the middle of the night.”

I’m at a loss for words. I’m really not used to eliciting this kind of hunger in a man.

“Because of the things I said?” He leans into me and murmurs low, “Or because of the things I did with my mouth?”

“Both.”

As if to taunt me, he licks his lips, drawing a soft sigh from me.

I’ve said too much.“I can’t believe I admitted to that,” I backtrack.

“It doesn’t get any better than this, Jules. You want me as much as I want you.” His potent words flame my desire. “Did you like being blindfolded?”

Heat creeps up my cheeks.

“I take it that’s a yes,” he concludes.
