“That’s what Damien suspects. He’s still trying to trace the feed to find out where they’re routing, but he has his hands full with the lycans at the moment.”
“Did everything go okay with Luka’s men?”
“His report was brief.” We only spoke for a couple of minutes. “He mentioned the logs and how he was going to send them. Then he said they found the mind-debilitating weapon Ryder had mentioned. They’re still working on cleaning it all out right now, including handling a bunch of feral lycan subjects. He’s supposed to call back in an hour with more information.”
Darius dipped his chin in understanding. “Then we should start reviewing the logs.”
“Agreed.” I looked at Calina. “Ready to keep impressing me, little genius?”

Message to commence in three, two…
My liege, it appears your recovery team was intercepted at the server farms. A security team is on-site now to assess the damage, but I suspect the entire team has been compromised, as Bunker 27 just went offline. My inside source is still assessing the damage. However, I fear the resistance is close to discovering your identity and your location. Escalation protocol is suggested. Please tell me how you wish to proceed.

Next log to commence in three, two…
If you’re watching this, then I must first begin with an apology because I’ve clearly failed our cause. I won’t belabor that point since time is now of the essence, and I will instead do my best to re-earn your trust via efficient means.
I record this message monthly to ensure you have the most up-to-date details regarding our plight. Today marks the fourth month of year one hundred seventeen. We are eight months away from the next Blood Day ceremony.
Recent events are counterproductive to our goals. It seems Silvano decided to wage a war on the neighboring Clemente Clan Alpha, and unsurprisingly, he lost.
However, now there is a triad in place composed of three resistance members.
It seems Jolene is up to his old tricks.
You were right to question the lycans and their ability to appropriately partner with vampires for leadership. I suspect a new world order may be required in the near future. I gave them the Magistrate position, just like we discussed, but it’s clearly not enough.
Fortunately, most of the lycans appear oblivious and comfortable in our current state. Supplying their moon chase and breeding needs appears to be enough to sate their desires for now.
As a result of this incident in Clemente Clan territory, an old vampire came out of hiding.
Ryder.
He has taken over as the temporary royal for Silvano Region.
His allegiance remains to be seen, but given his proclivity to break the rules, I suspect he’s going to be a problem. However, I strongly doubt the resistance will appeal to him. He’s always only ever considered himself and rarely cares about the needs of others.
Attached you’ll find everything I know about the resistance from our inside source. I’m sure our asset will be in touch at the first available opportunity.
Also attached is a list of our known allies. As it stands today, these vampires are aware of our secret alliance and will support you on your rise to power.
The final list contains the lycans who should be easiest to persuade to your side as you claim the mantle of power.
Of course, you could always consider the memory protocol to persuade more to join our side. But I’ll leave that up to you for final judgment.
