Species

Elven Queen: an Elven residing in the mysterious Zeitelmoos. She is described as a beautiful maiden with magnificent robes made of gold and silver threads that flow like veils around her slender body. Elvertritsch: a birdlike legendary creature which is reported to be found in southwest Germany Forest Troll: large troll with green skin and plenty of hair, at least 8 ft tall Hoimann: the Hoimann is a legendary figure. He belongs to forest spirits and goblins. In Austrian and Bavarian legends he is primarily up to mischief. He often appears as a gigantic, dark, hooded figure with wild, glowing eyes and a mossy beard. His appearance, accompanied by the sound of the wind, and the (by no means harmless) practical joke he plays on those who answer his call are reminiscent of the Wild Hunt. While some think him brutal, he has a kind heart and is said to be guiding lost children and hikers back on the right path. Nachtkrapp: night raven, from Old High German ‘ hraban’ – raven, in most legends, the Nachtkrapp is described as a giant, nocturnal raven-like bird. In northern Germany this creature is often called sandman (see E.T.A. Hoffmann – The Sandman, not to be confused with the East German stop motion series Our Little Sandman ) Wolpertinger: small Bavarian creature with the body of a hare, antlers, and wings.
