Page 9 of Is It Wrong to Escape My Fate? (Dealing With Fate #1)
It hadn’t been a week since I had arrived at the academy, and yet it already felt like a lot of things had happened. Things I didn’t ask for. Things I didn’t want or need.
Mornings were the only time I could be by myself, because my bodyguards refused to leave me alone otherwise. I could hardly blame them; they were doing their jobs, and if anything terrible happened to me while on their watch, it would be their heads on the line.
So, I maximized my alone time by going to places a noble daughter had no business going to, aside from the library of course. My choice for today was the ranch.
The academy was more than a school. It encompassed half of the city of Aerahelm; one could reasonably claim the academy was a city in and of itself.
There was a building or an area dedicated to every facet of learning, for every department, for every kind of training.
One of which was the equestrian facility, where horseback riding and the care of horses were taught.
I had to use the school’s carriage system to get here, and its existence didn’t surprise me.
It reminded me of my potential modern university; it had an internal bus system that went through different stops throughout campus.
Has the school year started in my world? I was supposed to be an incoming Software Engineer student, which I realized was one of the worst interests one could have when transported to a medieval fantasy world. No amount of computer programming skills would help me in this situation.
All I really had was my love for video games, and knowing how game systems and mechanics worked to maximize fun and entertainment. That was my dream — Software Engineer, Major in Game Development.
I swished my arm in the air again, hoping a user interface would appear. Nothing. If only it were that easy.
I watched as horses trotted around freely on the grass, within the boundaries of the ranch.
Before this universe, I had never seen a horse in real life.
Now, they were everywhere, and I was glad the existence of magic could keep the system sanitary.
I had definitely read horror stories about how life used to be during the peak of horse usage in history.
Yes, I wasn’t a big horse fan. But it was fun watching them play among themselves. I supposed I should also learn how to ride one soon, if escaping this world involved traveling a long distance.
“What a strange face to be making for someone who intentionally had to go here and watch horses play,” someone on horseback walked towards me on the other side of the fence. I hadn’t realized there was a rancher nearby.
On closer inspection, I figured he was a student like me. He wore a training uniform with the school’s logo embroidered with his last name — Drakon.
My eyes widened at the discovery. I took in his short red hair and golden eyes, and while he was older, I knew his face. Amos Drakon, Elias’s older brother. He was bulkier and had a stronger jaw than Eli, but the resemblance was there. There was no mistaking it.
He looked surprised too, before his lips turned into a wide grin. “Bea? Eli’s friend?” He stepped down from his horse and encouraged it to trot away as he climbed the fence over to my side. Standing next to me, he was so much taller than I was, I had to crane my neck to look up at him.
He must have found this amusing because he chuckled, leaning down on the fence to make himself shorter.
“Wow, it’s been a while.” His eyes traveled up and down my body, which was sort of silly, since he could barely see anything from the voluminous dress.
Aside from my chest where his eyes lingered. “You’re a first year like him, huh?”
“You’re Amos,” I mumbled, my skin heating up at the way his eyes tried to undress my clothes. Or was that just my imagination? Was I too needy that I was imagining things?
He licked his lips before responding, and while that would usually creep me out, on him it was more inviting and hot, and oh my god I was one horny bitch. “I’m surprised you know my name,” he smiled, his voice a little raspy.
Amos was a few years older than me. If I had to guess, I’d say he was a third year or a fourth year.
Even though I hung around Elias during my childhood, Amos rarely appeared; their father trained Amos as his heir even as a young child.
That meant lots of combat training, attending celebrations and balls, and participating in grown-up meetings.
And in the few times I had seen him, I would never forget how I stared at him, liking how boyish he looked then.
He stepped closer and placed his gloved hands on my waist, and I let him, gulping as I did. His eyes dropped to my throat before glancing back up to my face. “So, did you come here only to watch horses?”
“That was initially the plan,” I breathed, and I felt pathetic that I was trembling so much in his hands. The hands that were subtly massaging my waist. “Are you always here?”
“I enjoy riding,” he admitted, smiling wider. “And getting ridden.”
Fuck, that was such a lame pickup line, but it was working on me somehow. God.
I knew better than to hook up with Eli’s brother, the heir of a viscount; the potential mess would be catastrophic.
But my libido was taking over, and I had needs.
Besides, he didn’t seem like the type of guy who liked to be seen with only one woman.
I had met men like him before, who only enjoyed me in bed and not in public.
I was very cool with that. Maybe he’d be similar.
Was he a fuckboy like I suspected? Only one way to find out.
I leaned against the fence, and he followed my movement, stepping even closer that his leg was in between mine, pressing through my dress.
When his breath fluttered against my neck, my whole body stiffened at the shivers that cascaded down my skin, and his grip on my waist tightened. “Well, sunshine, care for a ride?”
Holy fuck, I did. Bless this universe for giving me a horny man like Amos. I wanted it so badly, no strings attached. I didn’t even care that we were out here in the open, surrounded by horses and plain grass. It would certainly be a novel experience.
This was my chance.
When I mumbled a tinny “yes”, Amos hitched me up, holding me under my thighs. It was a little awkward with my dress, but I managed to wrap my legs around his hips. I thought he’d take me right here, but he had a different idea.
His hardness pressed against my core as he walked us off, and I was so pleased that I had that effect on him. My arms circled his neck as we ended up behind this building. Without warning, he pushed me against the wall, and his lips crushed mine.
My first kiss in this world.
Despite his tough exterior, his lips were soft and tender, and his tongue parted my lips open to explore my mouth. His groans as he kissed me were already sending me.
He pulled down the neckline of my dress to expose my breasts, the cold air touching my skin. He broke our kiss so he could pull off his gloves, throwing it to the ground. It hadn’t even reached the grass when his mouth enclosed on one nipple while he played with the other with his fingers.
Oh, gods.
As I gripped his hair in my hand, he moaned at the pull before he switched to my other nipple, giving it the same attention. “Bea,” he whispered between licks, looking up at me. “I’ll cast a contraceptive spell on you, alright?”
I nodded as I caught my breath, because what else was there to do when I had needed him five minutes ago?
He murmured the spell as he held one hand over my abdomen, and all the while my brain reminded me that this body was a virgin.
Fuck, this was going to be my first sex in this world too. Was that right? Did it feel right?
It was right. I owned this body. I had the authority to do whatever with it for as long as I was in this world.
Did I, really?
Yes, really! And by the heavens I would fuck the stars out of this man and I would enjoy it. I needed this too.
Amos watched me, furrowing his eyebrows. “Are you having second thoughts?”
I quickly shook my head before he changed his mind. “No. I need to get fucked, Amos. Hard and fast.”
Those were some of my magic words, because he grinned almost immediately as he freed his cock from his pants, pressing it under my thigh inside my skirt. Oh, god, he was impressive , even if I couldn’t see it. He looked so smug as he watched my face. “Glad you like it.”
He reached inside my dress to pull down my underwear, but … “You’re not wearing any?” he gulped, his pupils dilating as he waited for my answer.
“I need to be ready at all times,” was my bratty reply, and he laughed, capturing my lips again as he nudged his cock to my entrance, coating it with my wetness before thrusting in.
Oh. Oh. So this was how it felt.
God, I felt so full. My body wrapped around him, and he groaned, holding me up by my hips.
“You’re clinging to me so tightly,” he growled as he finally moved, driving himself into me over and over. I didn’t stop myself from moaning loudly from the pleasure, especially when he began licking my breasts again, circling one nipple, and my clit rubbed against him.
It felt so fucking good.
Holy heavens, no wonder it was so addicting. I would never want this to end.
But the coil of pleasure had built up inside me. When Amos went back to my lips again, kissing me deeply and sensually, the tension was released from my body with a cry, spilling myself onto him.
He grinned, eyes running wild all over my face. “Good girl, Bea. Now, come for me again.”
I stared at him in shock. “What?”
“I need you to come again,” he grunted, pulling out and putting my feet back on the ground before turning me around and bending me over against the wall. He pushed my skirt up to my waist, exposing my pussy bare to the world, and he slid in again, the angle reaching new places inside me.
