Page 54 of Her Destined Alpha (Alpha #3)

Delsanra

I had just about gotten to say goodbye to the King and Queen when Rayhan whisked me away. Not once did his hand leave me, constantly caressing my thigh or holding my hand.

He had told me at least seven times that I looked good. He really had a wide range of words to use; sexy, beautiful, ravishing... by the seventh time, I had to tell him to stop because it was making my cheeks burn.

We had driven through the country roads and stopped at the edge of a woody area. I didn’t ask questions, but my curiosity was piqued. The way Kiara had dressed me, I had been rather nervous about going to some posh restaurant… but out here?

He held my hand, leading me through the trees until I saw a stunning, luxurious cabin illuminated by the lights that were lit inside. I blinked. I had not been expecting him to bring me to a cabin in the middle of the woods…

“I thought you might prefer something a little low-key rather than a fancy restaurant…”

“Oh, definitely!” I said, then looked down. “I’m a little overdressed, huh?”

“Not at all,” he promised, kissing my hand softly. “You look-”

“I know,” I said, laughing slightly. “You’ve told me a hundred times already.”

“I don’t think it was a hundred,” he remarked, leading me to the villa. The door was unlocked, and we stepped inside.

My heart skipped a beat as I stared at the entrance hall. Candles were lit, smelling of orchids and vanilla. There was a scatter of white petals littering the floor and a few huge bouquets of flowers. Rayhan reached into one, selected a single orchid, and held it out to me.

“Your scent has hints of orchids,” he said. I looked up from the flower, surprised.

“Really? Being a werewolf with such a scent must be weird, right?” I tucked my hair behind my ear as he led me through the hall and out towards the back.

“Not really, it’s useful, especially when it means tracking down our mates.” He winked at me, and I shook my head.

He opened the doors that led to the back. There on the wooden porch was a table for two set up, complete with a white cloth, decorated with candles and flowers, and laden with dishes that were clearly steaming and wine. I’m guessing Rayhan had mind-linked someone to tell them when we’d get here.

Behind the table, the outdoor fireplace was blazing brightly whilst soft music played in the background. Around the edge of the porch, lanterns stood, casting a gorgeous glow on the area. My heart skipped another beat as I realised it was for me…

“Is it okay?” he asked. I smiled, gripping the sleeve of his leather jacket.

“Okay? Seriously? I love it,” I whispered, tiptoeing to kiss his cheek. Thanks to the killer high heels, I was able to reach pretty well.

“Good, because I’m not really a pro at this stuff.”

“Really? One would think you are,” I said as he held out the chair for me, and I sat down, sighing softly when he kissed my lips before taking off his jacket and sitting down himself.

My chair was closer to the fire, and the warmth hit my skin, warming me.

Rayhan pulled his chair next to mine before glancing at me.

“I think Raihana and I have only done this sort of thing for Mom on Mother’s Day. Apart from that, nope.” I smiled.

“So, no girlfriends?”

“Depends. I mean, back in preschool, I had a different one daily,” he replied with a wink. I rolled my eyes.

“Oh, I’m so jealous of them,” I said sarcastically, making him smile.

“As I said, I like you jealous,” he whispered. I leaned over, and he met me halfway, kissing my lips passionately while his hand cupped the back of my neck. I moved back, placing my flower down gently, trying to calm my racing heart. “Let’s tuck in before it gets cold.”

I nodded and began helping myself to the food.

There were several dishes, ranging from a grilled platter of chicken, kebabs, lamb chops, wings, and fish.

Then some fries, flatbread, different curries, and pizza.

My mouth watered as I took a bite of the chicken.

It was as divine as it looked and smelled so good. I moaned softly. Oh, how I loved food…

I opened my eyes, feeling his intense gaze on me, and raised my eyebrows as I looked at my sexy alpha, who was clearly admiring me. Did he not realise he was so much better than I was?

“Aren’t you going to eat?” His eyes ran over me, and he smirked.

“Don’t,” I warned, placing my finger to his lips.

My heart was thudding. Right then, the way I felt…

I was tempted to climb into his lap and ask him to mark and make love to me at that very moment.

He kissed my fingertip, his hand closing around my wrist.

“All right.” I tugged free, taking a piece of chicken and holding it to his lips. He bit into it, his lips grazing my fingertip, sending tingles through me. “Thanks.”

He sat back and began eating, much to my relief. His one hand constantly caressed my cheek, arm, or leg. I didn’t know if I’d ever get used to the amount of adoration he had for me, but I would cherish it. I just hoped I could give him everything he could ever want.

We chatted a little bit more about his parents, his dad seemed like a lovely person, his friends, and his sister.

I could tell he was close to his parents and sister.

It was sweet. I had never known a loving family, so hearing about his, I was a little envious and wished I could one day call them my own.

One huge difference between my kind and his was that werewolves were in packs for a reason.

I could tell just by listening to him that his pack meant a lot to him.

Then there was my kind who only used family members for their abilities.

Sadly, men were mainly pawns to impregnate women from the older witch’s family.

The stronger the family the male was from, the more the oldest families wanted them.

There was just power and how beneficial you were to the Coven.

No, I couldn’t forget all the werewolves who had hurt me… but I was learning that they were just a small number compared to the majority.

We had finished our food and were onto our dessert, which had been set to the side, when Rayhan sat back, taking out a small box from his jacket pocket. It was a simple sleek white box with the word VRAI written on it.

“I thought a small present for our first official date would be fitting,” he said, opening the box. Inside on a velvet cushion was a gold bracelet set with clear stones. It dazzled brighter than any piece of jewellery I had ever seen. It was beautiful…

He took it out of the box, unlatching the clasp before taking my hand with the other, and smoothly slipped it around my wrist. It was slightly heavier than I was expecting, but I absolutely loved it, watching as he clasped it shut.

“Thank you… it’s… really beautiful,” I whispered softly. My first ever proper gift from someone I loved… my eyes stung, but I forced a smile onto my face.

“Hey, I thought you’d like it? Just please tell me those are female tears of happiness,” he joked with a wink.

“They are… I just... it’s beautiful,” I said, moving my wrist and admiring the sparkle. “I’ve never owned anything so shiny before.” His sexy chuckle made my eyes snap to him, and I squinted my eyes suspiciously. “What are you laughing at?”

“You really are a kitten. They tend to like shiny things, too.” He winked. I rolled my eyes, but despite that, I couldn’t stop the smile from gracing my face.

“Well, you fell for a kitten then.”

“Without a doubt…” His eyes ran over my face, his knuckles caressing my cheek. “Goddess, you’re beautiful.”

“Rayhan! Stop it! That’s too many compliments in one day! You know if I sat here and went on about how handsome you are, I’m sure you’d get tired of it.”

“Oh yeah? Try me. I don’t think I’d mind my girl telling me exactly how hot she finds me.”

“Really?” I sat forward, rested my elbow on the table, and crossed my legs.

“So, you wouldn’t mind that I think you’re a life-size yum yum?

One that I just want to taste every inch off, knowing that you’re utterly delicious…

sexy… handsome… and all mine.” My heart skipped a beat as I watched his eyes darken, and I smiled slightly.

“Want me to carry on?” I whispered. He reached forward, turning my chair and trapping my legs between his.

“If you want me to take you right here…” he countered.

Oh, that idea wasn’t bad. I knew I wanted him… and there was nothing holding me back…. He smirked cockily, kissing my neck before leaning back in his seat.

“I know you haven’t had the life you deserved, but what do you want to do if given the chance?” he asked me, drinking some wine.

“What do you mean?” I asked,

“Studying? Dreams? Anything really.”

My stomach fluttered nervously. I had never thought of it. Why was it relevant?

“What’s the point of thinking about it? I mean, I’m nineteen without even the basic education a ten-year-old would have.” I frowned, looking down at my plate. That’s right... what exactly was Rayhan’s education? I mean, I was just lacking so much compared to him…

He reached over, taking hold of my chin and forcing me to look at him.

“It’s never too late to follow your dreams. You’re only nineteen, your whole life is ahead of you, Kitten. If you had the chance, what would you do?” I ate some fries slowly, pondering his question. What would I do?

Easy.

I looked up at him.

“I would want to work with children who have suffered from trauma… those who have gone through a lot,” I said, trying to keep the pain from my eyes. His eyes softened as he caressed my cheek.

“A child psychologist? It sounds perfect. Once everything settles down, I can hire a tutor to get you caught up with your basic education, and then you can go on to study in college and university,” he said, taking me by surprise.

“Why?” I asked, confused, while nibbling on a piece of grilled fish.

“Kitten, although I want to keep you all for myself, I want you to live your life to the fullest too. If that includes becoming something, then I’ll be by your side supporting you.”

“Isn’t it a Luna’s job to have children and spend her time taking care of the pack?” I asked. He smirked, raising his eyebrows suggestively.

“Don’t tell me you want to make babies right now…”

“I didn’t say that!” I blushed, glaring at him.

“I mean, we can practice the art, but I don’t think I want kids so soon…

I’d rather spend some years with just you.

There’s so much of this world I want to show you, so many things to do, places to go, experiences to have…

there’s no rush to have kids, Kitten.” He gave me one of his sexy smiles, his hand caressing my cheek, and I realised, in other words, he wanted me to live the life I had been stripped of.

His gorgeous grey eyes, rimmed with those thick lashes, gazed into mine, and I realised there was no man on earth that could ever compare to the one before me. I stood up, not caring where my confidence came from and sat sideways on his lap, pressing my lips against his plush ones.

Rayhan

The moment her lips met mine, I could barely focus on anything else.

My hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her against me, while my other hand ran up her thigh, slipping her dress up slightly as I took control of the kiss.

Our lips moved in sync. She sucked on my bottom lip, making me growl against her lips.

She didn’t even realise how much of a fucking temptress she was. The scent of her arousal was strong in the air. I was becoming tempted to knock everything off the table and take her right there. She broke away, gasping, her pouty lips only looking even more tempting.

“You’re a temptation, Kitten…” I rasped, throbbing against her thigh. She ran her fingers through my hair, her eyes dark with lust.

“Good,” she whispered, kissing me once again, her nails scraping down my chest.

Since the moment I had laid eyes on her, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how gorgeous she looked. The gap at the front of her dress teasingly showed me her cleavage. The way she pressed her legs together at times… the way that pout lingered on her plump lips.

Goddess, that woman had me under her spell, and I didn’t mind one bit. My lips grazed against her neck, kissing her hungrily. Fuck, I needed to take it slow… but it was hard. The temptation, the desire, the pure incinerating need for her was consuming me completely.

My eyes flashed, my hand tangling in her hair. I buried my head in her hair, trying to regain my composure. She cupped my face, turning my chin up and kissing me before she looked into my eyes.

“Don’t hold back. I trust you, Rayhan. Make me yours,” she whispered.

Her heart was thundering, her eyes full of love and vulnerability.

She was trusting me, and I knew that no matter how dangerous my desires were, I’d never hurt her.

“I want you to make love to me without holding back,” she whispered, her lips grazing my ear, sending a shiver of delicious heat through me.

Her words destroyed all my self-restraint.

She was right… I didn’t need to hold back; she was my mate, and above all, she trusted me.
