LEENA
I take a deep breath, finishing our vows, eyes watering as Decker places a handmade-looking ring on my finger, one made of braided twine.
The tight weave of it, the color a soft white, by the look of it, you’d think it would be scratchy and abrasive.
It’s anything but. The twine is smooth, and it’s something I’ll never throw away.
This man… I wasn’t expecting anything, literally.
This was so last minute and spur of the moment for the two of us, I wasn’t thinking about a ring.
I will say that once we get home, the jewelry store will be my first place to go.
I didn’t realize that seeing a ring on my finger while Decker’s is bare would affect me this much.
Now there’s a deep and soulful need that deems it a necessity in the basest of ways.
“Decker.” My voice is wobbly, more so than when he came back to me earlier.
I was worried, Decker might have said that I’d think what was about to come out would stop me from marrying him.
The sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach was ready for me to run straight toward the bathroom, hugging the porcelain throne. It was my one and only thought.
“Leena.” He replies with my name, just as the man officiating the wedding says, “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride.” There, on the beach, with the sun setting so low, it’s a miracle we had any sunlight left after it took the two of us time to get ready and hash things out, but here we are, Decker in his navy-blue dress shirt, khaki pants, and barefoot, me in my dress courtesy of Marlie, off-white in color, sexy yet refined with the lace flowers on top of the silk fabric that goes all the way to the floor.
Much like Decker, I left my shoes right before we hit the sand.
“It’s an honor for me to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Williams,” he finishes his sentence.
“Mrs. Williams. Fuck, I love the sound of that,” Decker admits, and he’s not the only one. I may have been a Hart for twenty-four years, and I’ll always have that blood running through my veins, but my heart, the rapidly beating organ is definitely a Williams.
“Please kiss me,” I beg Decker, going to the tips of my toes.
One of his hands cups my cheek, the other is grasping my hip, pulling me in closer, and finally, our lips collide.
The officiant, witness, and a few people who stopped to look disappeared.
I’m not sure if they leave or if we’re so wrapped up in one another that nothing but the two of us matters.
Being wrapped in one another is all I care about.
“Son of a bitch. I forget myself when I’m around you,” Decker says, pulling back from my lips, yet he doesn’t let me go. If anything, I’m closer than I was before. My eyes open. The look on his face lights me up inside.
“I think that’s allowed on your wedding day, don’t you?” I tease, though the way Decker is biting down on his lower lip, it’s really him doing the flirting in this tango for two.
“Hell yes, it is. Maybe not out in public. Not too thrilled to have a boner walking around the resort until we get back to our place.” The proof is definitely in the pudding because I can feel him, reminding me just how long and thick he is.
Decker taking me earlier in the day is definitely wearing off, knowing as soon as we get back to the bungalow, I’ll need him again and again.
“I think I can help you with that.”
“You’re a goof. You help any more, and we’ll probably get thrown in a Belize jail. I’m not sure that’s a good idea. If that were to happen, then we really wouldn’t be able to celebrate our first night of wedded bliss.” He isn’t wrong. I’d hate for that to happen.
“Fine, stand behind me. I’ll keep your orgasm-hungry boner for myself.
It’s not like I want to share my husband either.
” I grab his hand in mine, leading the way towards the place where we’ll have unlimited access to one another.
Though it seems Decker has plans of his own when his big hands grip my hips, pulling me into his groin, allowing me to feel what he has ready for my taking, and I can’t wait.
This time, it’ll be me with my lips all over his body.
