“Shit,” she mumbled, shifting her eyes. “Girl, I’m rushing.

I gotta get up outta here.” She sighed and hopped in her car.

“Catch you later!” She push-started her ride and backed up, leaving Marley standing there saying something else that she could care less to hear.

She was highly frustrated and pissed that she still hadn’t heard from Perfect’s ass in over a week.

“Bitch, it’s about time,” Yaya replied. “She’s at King of Diamonds, shaking that ass for a bag.”

“Cool, but since you’re already that way, bring a bitch some wings or something.”

“Come on Brook… please!”

Brook’Lynn hung up and parked right in front of the club, knowing she couldn’t park there. But, since she planned on being in and out, she didn’t give a fuck.

It was still the day shift and the club wasn’t packed, but it had a nice little crowd going.

The first person she spotted was a nigga name Shaw posted by the bar with some other niggas, which was awkward for her, especially since Shaw was really good friends with Perfect.

Not only that, he was one of the niggas she put her girls on, and they were about to rob his ass later that night.

“Brook’Lynn, what’s up baby?” He spoke like he normally did while walking up to her with his sparkling hazels, smelling all good and shit.

Brook’Lynn froze a little, trying not to embrace him back. No lie, she felt like shit. Then, again, she wasn’t trying to make it look like something was wrong either.

“Hey Shaw,” she spoke, trying not to sound nervous.

Damn, how the fuck I let these bitches talk me into some shit like this?

she thought to herself. At the same time, she also had ill feelings since she hadn’t heard from Perfect, which put a sour taste in her mouth.

She prayed to God he wasn’t already comfortable out there fucking those island hoes. If so, she was gonna kill his ass.

“Congratulations on yo graduation and shit. I heard you did ya thang.”

She smiled. “Thank you.” She cleared her throat, asking, “You seen Kema?”

He licked his lips and smiled, pointing to the smaller stage. “Can’t miss all that ass.”

Brook’Lynn chuckled and shook her head. “Okay, thanks. I’ll see you around.”

“Aiight sis.”

Did the nigga just call me sis? she spoke to herself. Awe dayummm. She felt even more like shit, but one thing she knew was… Shaw definitely had it, and all the bitches knew.

“Kema!” she called her friend’s name over the music and pointed to her watch. “Bitch, let’s goooo!”

Kema held up one finger, telling her to wait as she dropped it, bent over, and exposed every bit of her pussy and asshole before patting her pussy with her hand and making that ass clap for the group full of niggas in front of her.

With that, the niggas dropped a whole bag on her, making it rain.

Kema smiled and looked back over to Brook’Lynn, talking over her shoulder as she mouthed. “Now, we can go.”

“Whatever.”

Again, she couldn’t even hate on the girl.

“Alright, so this is the plan.” Brook’Lynn stood in the living room while sucking on a strawberry blow pop with her hair sitting on the top of her head in a bun.

Normally when she got off work, she’d let it hang, but she didn’t have time to worry about that today.

“Handle business and get back to me tomorrow. I get my cut off top, ya’ll split the rest. If ya’ll can’t hit the nigga for twenty bands or better, then it’s pointless. ”

“We gonna get that, regardless. I’m a pro at this shit.”

“And what about you, Bugg?” Kema asked her. “You good?”

“I’m cool,” Bugg spoke up. She sat there, looking all pretty with her ripped jeans and tank top.

She favored the singer Rihanna a lot; the only thing she didn’t have was the colored eyes, but she was pretty as hell with her sandy brown hair swooped back perfectly in a long 24-inch weave ponytail.

Red lipstick smudged her perfect lips with the matching nail color.

Brook’Lynn allowed them to speak amongst themselves. She was cool with Bugg, but Bugg was Yaya’s friend; she couldn’t really consider her as a friend.

They all had their guns sitting on the glass coffee table as they spoke but was interrupted when someone walked right through the front door. “Brook’Lynn!”

“What the fuck?” she mumbled. “Ya’ll didn’t close or lock the damn door?” she asked her girls in disbelief.

Kema shrugged. “Shit, I thought I did,” she said, trying to cover the guns with newspaper. It was too late. Marley was already in the house and her eyes were glued.

Yaya couldn’t help but to wonder whom the geek was standing in front of her with those geeky ass glasses on.

Marley was still in her scrubs, and even though she was skinny, her ass still stuck out in the back.

She was a honey-butter brown with slanted eyes and long lashes.

She wore her hair in a Betty Boop haircut, but it was pretty as hell on her.

If she removed those glasses, she’d be okay.

“Kema, the girl already done saw the damn guns. Stop trying to hide them; that shit isn’t working.” Bugg laughed, showing her perfect pearly whites and deep dimples.

Brook’Lynn was beyond aggravated with Marley right now; why was she there? “Marley, is everything okay?” She asked her, trying not to let the displeasure of her just popping up to her house show on her face.

Marley’s eyes shifted from the guns to the girls. “I… um… well, uh yeah. You left this phone at your station and it’s been blowing up with private calls. I thought maybe you’d need it. Here…” She passed her the track phone.

Brook’Lynn knew she slipped leaving that phone, but she also got excited knowing that the only person that could’ve been calling was Perfect. “Thanks Marley.” She smiled. “I appreciate that; you can go now, and I’ll call you. I promise.”

Even Marley’s smile couldn’t hide her curiosity. “Okay… I guess I’ll talk to you later.”

Yaya stood up and stopped her. She didn’t know what it was about Marley, but she’d much rather her stay. She would love to turn a good girl bad. “Wait! Shit, let her stay.”

“What?” Brook’Lynn frowned. “No, Yaya. Marley is a good girl, leave her alone.”

Marley turned around quickly, glad that she was asked to stay. She had been a goody two shoe all her life, and sitting in a room full of beautiful women with guns gave her an adrenaline rush. “It’s okay Brook’Lynn… I don’t have anywhere to go anyway.” She quickly sat down.

Kema chuckled, knowing Brook’Lynn was pissed.

“So Marley, what do you do?” Yaya asked her.

“I work with Brook’Lynn at the hospital.”

Bugg cleared her throat. “Sooo, you’re a nurse?”

Marley nodded her head. “Yes.”

Kema sat right next to her. “What’s the worst or baddest shit you’ve ever done?”

Marley’s eyes lit up. “I stole my daddy’s car in the 10 th grade, so I could go see my boyfriend.”

“And that’s it?” Kema asked, with a stank look on her face.

“Well…” Her eyes shifted. “I fucked him in it too,” she said like she was almost ashamed, with her cheeks turning plum red.

Everyone laughed, including Brook’Lynn.

Yaya stood up. “Come here, let me talk to you.” She led Marley to a back room.

Brook’Lynn took a seat while staring at the phone, wishing that Perfect called back, while wondering what Yaya wanted to fill Marley’s head up with.

“Bugg, did you ever find a place to stay, you move yet?” Kema asked her, while standing in the mirror applying her cotton candy lipstick.

Brook’Lynn looked up and peeped how Bugg seemed uncomfortable all of a sudden, but then again, she probably wasn’t in the mood to answer questions, although she did anyway.

“Yeah, I did… it’s a nice lil spot I’m sharing with my dude. He’s kind of funny acting, so I haven’t really invited anybody over,” she lied as she stood up, stretching her arms above her head.

“I wouldn’t know, cause you’ve never brought a dude around.” Kema laughed as she called her out.

“For what?” Bugg asked. “I’m not bringing my man around a bunch of beautiful bitches.” She shook her head. “Nope, I’ll be the only beautiful bitch he’s looking at. Brook’Lynn, I’m going to the bathroom.”

Brook’Lynn wasn’t paying much of anything any attention right now.

She was stuck trying to figure out why it took this nigga over a week to call and why the fuck was he calling from a private number.

By the time she did look back up, Marley and Yaya were both walking from the back, and Marley looked high as fuck with a goofy grin on her face.

“I’m all in,” she said.

Brook’Lynn couldn’t believe this shit.

Bunk! Bunk! Bunk! Bunk!

The sounds of Brook’Lynn’s alarm scared the shit out of her, causing her to jump out of her sleep and throw the pillow over her head.

“Nooo, it’s too early,” she mumbled with her eyes closed, using one hand hit the snooze button.

She had an hour before she had to be to work and kill another twelve-hour shift, and she seriously wasn’t in the mood.

She was so glad she was going to have the next three days off after her shift was over.

After another ten minutes of dodging the alarm clock, she finally got up with her scarf tightly tied around her head, wearing one of Perfect’s wifebeaters with no panties.

Her feet sunk into the plush rug on the side of her bed as she stretched her arms and yawned, dragging over to the bathroom so she could hop in the shower.

She checked her track phone to see if Perfect had called again, and he hadn’t, which made her annoyed as fuck. She missed him so much.

After brushing her teeth, she hopped out with the towel tightly wrapped around her body, so she could unwrap her hair and brush it up in a bun.

When she was finished, she reluctantly dressed in her scrubs, grabbed her lunch bag, and ran out of there to get to McDonald’s in time to grab a caramel frappé and egg white delight.
